Pours a dark cloudy orange with a bit of lacy head, Aroma is strong with hints of resin and citrus. Lots of strong hoppy notes. A great sweet but strong bitter taste. Definitiely has a bit of boozy notes as well. Long bitter finish lasts for long after the sip. Great beer

2 dollar pint at One Barrel for the last day of Madison Beer Week 2013. Burgundy unfiltered amber body. Steady off-white head. Muted, sweet aroma. Big, malty, piny. Not really par for the course, but not sooo bad, taste like mid-range 90s beer. Not really enjoyable to drink. Big, rich, flowery. It sort of screams mediocre. OK...maybe.

Had it on tap at Great Dane Brewery. Pours a murky copper hue with a clean crisp hop aroma. Smooth hop taste, not overbearing or bitter.

Tap. Pour is a cloudy orange. Aroma of grapefruit, lime, orange, and a hint of pine. Taste is very low in bitterness, almost sweet. Slight spice in aftertaste.

West coast my freaking ass. This is a sweet and syrupy DIPA that is good, but not great.

Growler courtesy of BDR! Didnít get this open for about a month, so fair notice. Dark copper color with a medium head. Danky hop aroma, light citrus notes. Maybe caramel after warming. Moderate to strong bitterness with some dank hop flavor. A bit vegetal. Caramel and toasty/biscuity taste. Almost full bodied. Pretty tasty.

Reviewed from notes. On tap in Madison - August 2009. Pours a golden-orange color with a white head and a bit of lacing. The nose brings some pine, floral hops, and some citrus rind. A light malt backing. The taste is a bit more plain and while there is a bit of pine needle flavoring, the hops arenít nearly what they were in the nose. The hops come roaring back in the feel, with a really pleasant spruce and rind bitterness. Drinks well in the end and is a pretty solid brew. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 11-13-2010

On tap at brewpub, pours a hazy orange with a decent amount of head and lacing through out the entire glass, aroma is of juicy hops and citrus, the flavor is nice and crisp with a decent hop bite but is fairly sweet in the finish, not bad.

10th October 2008. GABF. Hazy brown beer. One of those lovely IPAs that manages to be hoppy but isnít bitter and is fact a quite sweet. Dry spicy finish.

Hazy orange-red with an inch of beige head, leaves abundant lasting lace. Strongly aromatic, piney, floral aroma, balanced in the nose by a cream-soda caramel malt sweetness. Flavor is led first by sweet malts, nearly balanced by hops bitterness. The only real nod to hops aromatics in the flavor is a bit of orange character. Warm and zesty on the palate. A nice malt heavy double.
