On draught during Great Taste of Midwest 2009 in Madison, Wisconsin as Organic Nut Brown Ale at the brewery booth. Pours a semi-clear brownish amber colored brew with a fast dissolving off-white head. Aroma of roasted caramel malt, some honey, a touch of maple and chocolate. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonated with flavors of caramel and chocolate malt, some flowery hops and a touch of roasted nuts. Finish is semi-sweet with a malt and toffee aftertaste and very little bitterness. Nice for an organic brown ale.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap at the downtown Dane. Poured clear, deep coppery-brown with a short cap of white head. The aroma was soft and sweet with redder fruits and some caramel present.. not much hop presence, nor was there a whole lot else going on. The flavor found sweet caramel and nutty notes at the core accented by just a touch of earth.. sticky finish with light dry bitterness. Lighter-bodied and dry overall on the palate, with a hint of tanginess.. for the most part very boring and serviceable.
