3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, recent vintage acquired in trade. Med bosy thiiner than the other yeti varieties. Lots of whiskey heat, a little too much actually but still working with an outstanding base base makes this still enjoyable. Corked havlfthe bottle with a wine saver and went back the next day and it was even better. Pretty good, but pricey at $30.

Love yeti. Love barrels. Love yeti in barrels.
Dark black with a tan head. Lasts longer than expected given booze and barrels. Coffee, Dark chocolate and oaky booze notes. Medium mouthfeel. Complex and balanced. Chocolate, coffee, oaky. Dances around on the tongue a bit. Lovely

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pitch black pour, minimal brown head. Mild whiskey aroma, well ballanced flavor, with big chocolate and whiskey notes. Quite smooth. A great beer but honestly not as good as the standard yeti.

Had this awhile back and again tonight. Was better then, but still good now. Plenty of booze on the nose and a little oxidize. Caramel and roasted malt. Flavor is similar with nice muted booze notes and caramel finish. Really drinkable with a nice full body.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Rcvd in trade. Reviewed from notes.
The appearance is a pitch black body with a two finger tan foamy head that when it dies leaves some nice clingy foamy lacing in rings.
The smell has some chocolate and coffee coming through in a woody sort of way. Light vanilla enters in as it warms up.
The taste is bittersweet through previously mentioned flavors.
On the palate, it sits about a medium to heavy and demonstrates that its not that sessionable. Carbonation is barely there leads to a nice smooth feel all around.
Overall, so though I got this in a trade, I feel like I had the cart before the horse since I didn’t have the original Yeti, no worries. Id still have this again and this is very good for its style as well and also am hoping Id be able to find original Yeti someday.
