Belgian Style Yeti is a delicious new blend of brewing techniques - all the malt-driven roastiness of our Yeti Imperial Stout with characteristic spice and fruit notes imparted by our special Belgian yeast strain. Belgian Style Yeti is a one-of-a-kind beer as mysterious as the mythical creature himself. Impossible? See for yourself, you’ll be a believer, too.

Bottle. The pour was a non-translucent espresso black with an average sized (1-2 finger) medium brown creamy head that was mostly diminishing but left behind enough residue to produce some really good spotty lacing. The aroma was quit full with burnt and roasted bread malts, a mild herbal hop and a sweet leathery yeast with notes of dark chocolate, roasted coffee, molasses, licorice, dark fruit and a hint of spice. The taste was boldly sweet and malty with notes of chocolate and molasses at first then took a turn towards the bitterer side with just a bit of hoppiness and notes of licorice, coffee, a touch of dark fruit and a slight alcohol tinge at the end. The flavor lasted a wonderfully long time after the swallow, letting one enjoy the sweet, fruity, coffee flavor that was left lying on the taste buds. Mouthfeel was extremely full in body with a dry, syrupy texture and a prickly carbonation. Overall a very complex beer that had a bunch of things working all at the same time on the taste buds, and did it extremely well. This is an impressive brew with an awesome drinkability.

65 cl bottle @ PBF IX.
Pours pitch black color with a nice large beige head. Roasted malts and some faint yeast notes on the aroma, some chocolate, cocoa, and some faint ashy notes. Roasted malty flavor, some chocolate, cocoa, some wooden notes and mild yeasty spiciness. I’d rather drink my Yeti without the belgian elements (though they are very faint here). Very nice anyway.

Dark opaque color, brown head. Sticky toasted, some "vintage" cardboardish notes. Full-bodied. Sticky, toasted, vanilla, caramel. Belgian yeastyness gives some fruityness. Normal Yeti is better.

Aroma has cocoa and some dark chocolate. Feels sweet. Flavour has soy sauce, salty licorice, dark chocolate and cocoa. The belgian sourness tries to ruin the Yeti here.

650 ml bottle @ PBF IX. BBE 2012. Pours a black colour with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, salty licorice and biscuit. Flavour of raisin, roasted malts, some plums, blueberry pie, salty licorice, yeastiness and floral notes. Very mellow but noticeable spiciness with nutmeg and cinnamon notes. Full bodied and soft carbonation. Surprisingly complex.

This one poured a very dark brown to black with a tan head. Aroma was of typical yeit dark chocolate and ash, but with nice fruity and belgian spicey undertones. Falvor was similar, orangey chocolate taste, light ash and smoke. Really interesting take ont he base beer.
