3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 CheersMate (1270) - Fremont (Seattle), Washington, USA - APR 30, 2009
A yeast aroma that has a nuanced aroma. I promise you I almost smell a meat-like aroma; pastrami? Then I smell the fruit and yeast aroma. It is very weird. Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me. I am not complaining about the aroma, it is actually decent. I am disappointed that the beer doesn’t have any hop aroma mixed in. Fairly transparent; the beer has a decent apperance. Hops play a role in the flavor, and develop further in the end, but the beer has that weird yeast taste to it during the start. Very smooth beer. Overall, a decent beer with some awkward aromas and flavors.

On tap at GD tasting room. I didn’t realize this originated with Titan. The hops are nicely balanced by the esters and fruitiness.

draft @ brewery. Aroma is fruity, reminds me AChouffe. Pours yellow gold color. Good hop flavor, i really like strong american hops with belgian yeast strains, the citrus hop flavors blend very well with the estery fruitiness of the yeast. Great beer!

Draught at brewery tap room. Pours hazy orange with a small, fizzy, white head, diminishing, spare lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, grain, meal), average hops (grass), average yeast (sweat, horse blanket) with notes of banana and pear. Medium bodied, creamy texture, average carbonation and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 GeneralGao (3545) - Iowa City, Iowa, USA - SEP 7, 2007
Draft at the brewery tap room in Denver. Poured a murky medium orange color. Head was thin and white. Aroma was fruit-dominated. Mostly citrus fruits. There was also a bit of yeasty bread dough. Overall the aroma was not unlike a wit beer. Slightly sweet on the tongue with distinct grapefruit and orange flavors accompanied by clove and subdued alcohol. There was not much hop bitterness. Almost like a sweetened grapefruit juice with a dash of alcohol in it. Interesting.
3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 bitter (1137) - Henderson, Nevada, USA - MAY 21, 2007
had this at the tap room in denver. poured a hazy yellow with a tighter white head then most of their beers. nose of apricots and belgian sweet yeast. flavors of light fruits and bready banana bread push through the beer. slight bitterness but not what you expect from the ipa label. nice to see the abv higher then anticipated...they didnt list any at the brewery? good but a bit different then what i thought it would be. my girlfriend liked this beer the best out of all of theirs.
