2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
April 24, 2009 bottle. Filtered? Seriously? What the FUCK? Sweaty sweetened grain nose, syrupy and oily, musty and moldy... I smell corn. Texture: brash and astringent. Body: medium to full but syrupy, twangy and coarse in the finish. Flavor: musty and rancid sweet corn and herbal hops. This beer is a disaster.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brickstore. Pours a clear yellow color with a thick creamy white head. Aroma is slightly citrusy but has a tinge of the belgian yeast wildness to it as well. You get a pretty full bodied drink here with some fruit sweetness that is followed by a big hop bitterness and some sticky pine on the back end. The pine sticks with you for a while and leaves a long finish on the palate. Definitely gets better as it warms and there is a big burst of citrus fruit mid palate as well. One of the more decent representatives of this style I have had recentliy.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at the Brick Store.
Pours a crystal clear golden yellow with a massive creamy white head that lingered for ages and left good lacing.
The aroma has an initial citrus hop presence with pineapples and grapefruit that blends with the spicy Belgian yeast backbone.
The taste follows the aroma and starts with some citrus hops up front before the Belgian yeast sweetness takes over with lots of fruity esters showing through. The finish is a combination of subtle hop bitterness and spiciness from the yeast.
The mouthfeel is medium bodied with lots of carbonation and fairly dry in the finish.
This style is all the rage now and Iíve had numerous Belgian IPAs lately. That said, this one doesnít really stand out for me though itís definitely a good beer and improves as it warmed.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
bottle.... 1 week old from bottling date... pours a light golden with a nice white head. Belgian yeast and light fruit aromas dominate while the hops take a back seat. medium body with the citrus hop notes coming forward.... there is spice, banana, yeast and deep malts over the top... nice finish with a good amount of bitterness balanced by the fruit esters and Belgian yeast qualities.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A yeast aroma that has a nuanced aroma. I promise you I almost smell a meat-like aroma; pastrami? Then I smell the fruit and yeast aroma. It is very weird. Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me. I am not complaining about the aroma, it is actually decent. I am disappointed that the beer doesnít have any hop aroma mixed in. Fairly transparent; the beer has a decent apperance. Hops play a role in the flavor, and develop further in the end, but the beer has that weird yeast taste to it during the start. Very smooth beer. Overall, a decent beer with some awkward aromas and flavors.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at GD tasting room. I didn’t realize this originated with Titan. The hops are nicely balanced by the esters and fruitiness.
