COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We toned down the hops a bit to allow cocoa nibs to contribute some pleasing bitterness, while vanilla notes from the oak combine with the cocoa to create an aroma and flavor akin to a gourmet chocolate bar. A dash of cayenne keeps things lively, adding just a bit of heat to the finish. A Yeti for summer? Hell yes.

Black pour, dark tan head, good lace/retention. Aroma is chocolate, roast, light dried fruit, light alcohol. Medium bodied, high bitterness, chocolate roast flavor dominates, light barrel. Lacks complexity.

Black pour with a brown head. Aromas of cocoa, vanilla bean, oak, and roasted malts. Flavor is sweet chocolate upfront with roasty malts in the background. Don’t get any cayenne with this one heat or flavor wise. Decent brew.

22 oz bottle (dated April 2014) poured into a Belgian snifter. Pours black with a finger and a half of tan head. Light webby lacing. Aromas of dark chocolate, caramel, roast, some coffee. Tastes of big dark chocolate and cocoa, caramel, roast, some peppery heat towards the end. Full body with a dry finish. Low carbonation, thick oily mouthfeel. Very nice Yeti variant.

Dark dark black pour with a thick dark brown head. Aroma is strong dark chocolate, a hint of oak, and a decent west coast hop profile at the end. Heavy cream body. Oak is far more prominent in the flavor. Mild alcohol burn in the chest but nothing in the flavor. Dark chocolate again is very strong. Hops are mild to unnoticeable. Very sweet smooth finish full of chocolate ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Used engine oil color with a tan head. Nose of booze, bitter chocolate, roasted malts. Taste is rich and deep, chocolate bitterness come through nicely, all sorts of burnt molasses flavors. Then the kick if spice arrives and finishes bitter and boozy.

22oz bottle poured into a tulip glass. Oily black, medium tan head. Molasses, ripe dark fruit, coffee, rum, dark chocolate. Nice heat from the chillies. Overall a very nice IS, when it warmed a little it really opened up, very rich and complex.
