3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Flanny’s during a Great Divide tap takeover. Pours deep ebony with a very dark tan head. Dark roasted malt, anise, and a touch of smoky phenols, but almost no chocolate on the aroma. Awesome smorgasbord taste of milk chocolate, blackstrap molasses, fairly heavy oak tannins, anise, a deep roastiness, and less heat from the cayenne than the Espresso Yeti. Unfortunately, further through the glass, chocolate becomes the only recognizable characteristic. Solid stout, but, in my opinion, there are better Yeti versions.

Bottle with Jay, Ray, Chris and Pat. Pours a viscous black with thick, frothy mocha head and lace. Nose of roasted malt, chocolate, oak, vanilla. Full body, creamy mouthfeel. Sweet, a little hot, with a moderate bitterness to the finish. Tasty

4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Not going to be very critical, but this is an outstanding brew from Great Divide. It pours black, with a darker head. The smell is of chocolate and some toasted malts. The taste is very smooth, which masks the alcohol very well. Taste of chocolate, some coffee, and the oak aging sneaks in but is well paired. Mouthfeel is smooth, almost light, but it lingers a little after, but it makes you want more.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tap at Great Divide, Denver. Poured a deep mahogany with a frothy tan head and a rich oily consistency. The aroma is rich liqourice, chocolate and alcohol. The flavour is strong bitter with a big roasted malt liqourice chocolate palate. A super rich super king of beers. What else can I say. This knocks you off your feet.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
22 oz Bomber. The beer pours to a black color with a very thick dark tan head. The aroma had a very pungent chocolate sweet smell with hints of coco & vanilla. The taste was heavy in body & was slightly sweet but not too much with a nice finish. Overall a great Stout!

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap, pours opaque black with an inch-high toffee head that leaves lacing after a few sips. Bitter coffee and cocoa hints, balances the deep malts. Crisp finish with a mild vanilla aftertaste. Nicely balanced, delicious.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Solid black pour with a dark brown head. Nose is heavy on the chocolate with some espresso behind it. The palate is where this stuff shines, big and rich, like a densely layered cake and the little hint of pepper heat in the back end really dissipates the richness nicely.

Drank this straight from the bottle, a little bit lighter than the other yeti’s but full bodied and chocolate goodness!
