We toned down the hops a bit to allow cocoa nibs to contribute some pleasing bitterness, while vanilla notes from the oak combine with the cocoa to create an aroma and flavor akin to a gourmet chocolate bar. A dash of cayenne keeps things lively, adding just a bit of heat to the finish. A Yeti for summer? Hell yes.

Ap - espresso colored beer, dark mocha head sticks and leaved nice lacing Ar - dark chocolate, espresso, coffee, cream, pepper Ta - dark chocolate, milk chocolate, cream, spicy red pepper, black pepper Mouth - heavy, alc covered, aftertaste more dark malts, black pepper and spicy. O - another pepper aged stout? I must be the only person that doesn’t like these, esp considering how highly rated Bomb! And bible belt are. Would rather have an expedition or blackout stout.

I love Yeti. It was hard to get a bottle (1 bottle limit at my local store) but it was a good find. Pour was thick black and had a good solid tan head. Taste was chocolatey goodness with a vanilla note late on. I didn’t taste the cayenne as much but I just got another bottle and I will look for that next time.

Bottle is BB July 2012, making it a 2011 brew afaik. Bomber from Redmonds. Happy birthday to me. Coffee black pour, then crema-like residue of a head after the initial fizzy mocha head settles. Nose is gorgeous, big whiskey tinted, oaky, woody milk chocolate, cocoa notes, touches of dark sherry in the aroma too. Crazy intense flavour, rich resiny coffee flavour, intense coffee bitterness, chocolate highlights, more dark sherry and rich dark fruits, figs and honey, flavour pours into the nasal cavity when drinking, my god. Big heavy body, barely there carbonation, slick mouthfeel. Finish is ridiculously complex and lasts forever, loads of warming booze. So rich. Brilliant. It?s all a bit Thomas Hardy ale. Would love to let one age even more.

Black pour with a brown head. Aromas of cocoa, vanilla bean, oak, and roasted malts. Flavor is sweet chocolate upfront with roasty malts in the background. Don’t get any cayenne with this one heat or flavor wise. Decent brew.

Pour from a bomber. Black color. Thick dark brown head. Mild woody aroma. Bitter first sip mellows with time. Spicy after taste. Claims a dash of cayenne I can feel it. Different but...
