Bottle from bu11zeye, shared at the Bruery. Pours with a brown head over a black body. Aroma of cocoa powder, chocolate, vanilla, black pepper, and some light chilly burn. Taste is cayenne up front, followed by chocolate, vanilla/oak, and finishes with some heat/burn. Light bubbles. My least favorite of the Yeti’s (mostly because of the pepper), but being the least favorite of the Yeti’s is still a big accomplishment.

Yum yum yum I love me this beer. Stays with you with a nice long aftertaste of chocolate. Didn’t get the spicy nose, but the body definetly was good with the ABV, dark malts, and woodiness.

Bomber. Gorgeous pour with the perfect motor oil consistency of the black bad boy and it’s brown sugar colored topping. Inviting nose of molasses and massive milk chocolate. There is also some light coffee roast. Silky smooth, this is scary easy to drink until you swallow. The package delivers heavy duty dark chocolate and plum with some tobacco notes. Burning, harsh burning in the finish with the cayenne and ashes it certainly keeps you on your toes and makes for a very intriguing drink. It’s like a spicy Mexican mole style brew with coffee mixed in. Unique in more ways than I expected, this was fairly enjoyable, but a little too much in the off balanced finish for me.

UPDATED: AUG 14, 2009 Opaque black pour with a creamy dark tan head, good retention, nice looking lace. Aroma is made up of dark chocolate, a touch of vanilla, some alcohol sweetness and coffee. Flavors consist of dark dark chocolate, alcohol sweetness in the middle, nice bitterness at the end; I could have gone for more, however. A hint of vanilla from the oak. Finish is long with brief appearance by the cayenne. Full velvety body with gentle warmth and low carbonation. A remarkable beer.

Drinking from a 650ml bottled secured from the Foodery and defintiely a unique taste. Apearnace, mouthfeel and smell all good but the drinkbility and taste are awesome. Had Oak Aged Yeit two days ago off tap and this bottle of Choclate Oak Aged is so much better. So much less sweet and and lighter than reagular oak aged and the cayenne heat at the end of each taste just puts it over the top. Enjoy!

I’m a little surprised that this isn’t getting higher ratings. Drinking this at room temp (70 F) from a 22oz, maybe that’s the difference. Flavors are unique and dominate but blend well. Very complex. Soft chocolate up front, with dominating oak throughout. Subtle warming from the cayenne on the finish. I really could go on and on. This is a very complex beer with lots to chat about. Highly recommend it in a snifter @ room temp.

Black pour with a big, dense, tan head. Dark chocolate aroma with hints of coffee roast and oak, almond, and some spicy hops. Sweet chocolate and oak flavor, with some deep roast, nuttiness, a little dark fruit and and some pine mixed with the cayenne heat in the finish. The body is creamy and full with fairly strong carbonation. The heat from the cayenne lingers in the back of your throat. Good beer, but not quite as bold in the chocolate as I was hoping for and the cayenne really hides the oak I love so much in the Regular oaked Yeti.

Sample at PIB. Poured deep brown with a small tan head. Aroma of chocolate, nuts and pepper, light oak. Flavor is big chocolate, the oak not as prominent as in other Yetis, a bit of nuttiness and then that cayenne finish that kind of comes out of nowhere. Smooth and creamy like all Yetis. Not my favorite rendition, but still a quality brew.

22oz bottle. pours an oily black color with a tan/mocha colored foamy head. nose is dry bitter chocolate, then a sweet creamy chocolate. palate is nice and fluffy with a bitter finish. Feels a tad bit lighter then a normal yeti. woah! just got a big hot peppery finish on that sip. Flavor is nice and chocolatey with the cayenne pepper and light hops finishing things up in the end. My mouth is a bit hot and stingy now.
