4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle tasting at work. Pours a wonderfully thick, opaque black "motor oil" with a medium, dark brown head that falls slowly and leaves nice, slightly broken lacing. Aroma is heavy dark chocolate with some caramel notes followed by a balanced malted backdrop and hints of piney hops lingering at the back. Taste is a spicy bitter chocolate that grows slightly sweet with the malted, creamy body and then falls back to a very balanced bitterness as the hops slowly take their place in the finish. Just wonderful... my personal taste would hope for a little less attenuation, (love the sweets) but its just fine the way it is.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a rich dark black/brown with a tar colored head with lacings. The aroma a rich roasted malt and coco. The flavor carries a huge chocolate/coco flavor without the sweetness. The malt notes are roasted with a burnt finish. The body is full to medium-full with a satisfying linger in the palette.

4.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle, black and thick beer, big dark khaki head fades, decent lace. Aroma coffee, vanilla, plum, oak, molasses. Taste is coffee and chocolate chip cookies, vanilla, molasses. A little sweet, but huge roasty chocolate cookies. Palate is super rich, carbonation nicely subdued. Cranking this rate. So roasty, so huge, so deep!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pitch black with a thick brown head fading into a good lace and veil. Chocolate liquor, vanilla and sweet chai spices comes through in the aromas. Rich, velvety palate, low carbonation, almost full bodied, loads of cocoa flavors, multi-layered with ligt spices in the end. Alcohol is so well hidden here. Delicious impy stout.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Into a taser showing pitch black with sparse coffee brown foam.
The nose shows a lot of good roasted coffee notes.
The palate is light bodied, foamy, smooth, with a strong coffee tartness. Coffee bitterness with a roasted smoky note on the linger. Slight oak permeates throughout the palate but it seems slightly too light for a stout.
