Thereís a lot of different flavors going on in this beer. I get a smoky bbq from oak with chocolate flavor followed by a spicy heat. This is then followed by an alcohol warmth. Smooth toastiness of a stout but definetly a heavy hitter with the 9.5abv and you feel it.

I love this beer. One of my new favorites. Pouring the beer it is dark black color. As soon as you pop the cap off you can smell the chocolate aroma pouring out of the bottle. You get a strong chocolate taste when you first drink it. The aftertaste you get a string spice and malty taste. Overall I would give this beer a 10 out of 10. I love great divide brewing company. Working at Tipsyís now. I am glad I can experience these

22oz served into a Duvel tulip Bottled on 3/28/2012
A - Pours blacker than black, completely opaque, a dark frappe head sinks into a clinging collar.
S - Gourmet milk chocolate, whopper candy, very rich and sweet, woody overtones, coffee.
T - A mixture of decadent chocolates, faint wood add a robust and dry balance to the sweet chocolate. Some saltiness seems to be mixed in. The cayenne pepper is flavorless and hits the back of the throat with a perfect bite.
M - Low carbonation, full thick body, ridiculously silky, syrupy,
Itís like desert in a glass! All the components rely on each other for balance.
The best chocolate beer that Iíve had by far.
