COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We toned down the hops a bit to allow cocoa nibs to contribute some pleasing bitterness, while vanilla notes from the oak combine with the cocoa to create an aroma and flavor akin to a gourmet chocolate bar. A dash of cayenne keeps things lively, adding just a bit of heat to the finish. A Yeti for summer? Hell yes.

Had this out of the bottle right after Rogue Double Chocolate Stout; both excellent. This is more bitter and more espresso; its imperial stout nature comes through.

22oz bottle pours oily brown black with 2 finger foamy head. Nose is straight boozy brownie batter and dusty burnt chocoalte sauce, and earthy dark fruit and dirt note. Taste is a touch thinner than expected, boozy brownie and cake, some vanilla cream. Finish is sticky, sweet but not overly-so, chocolate booze and dusty dark cocoa nibs. Dessert!

Fantastic stout! The chocolate. The spicy heat. The roasted malts. The thick, smooth mouthfeel! The everything! Just go drink it!

"the most unique, but possibly my least favorite Yeti. I LOVE the Espresso, Barreled, & Regular, and really like the Oak and now Chocolate. If the hops are toned down it’s hard to tell. Bitterness from cocoa nibs is still bitter, and this fits the bill. chocolate more present in the flavor than the aroma, and the touch of cayenne in the finish is cool. i think i wanted a tiny bit less bitterness and a touch more decadent chocolate, but this was still quite good. For my money, though, regular ol Yeti is better, and cheaper. Bottled 6-15-09"

The aroma of chocolate. Heavy taste of dark chocolate, tobacco, tar and dark coffee. Incredibly heavy bitterness in the aftertaste and really do not want to disappear from the mouth. Very hard to judge this beer. But to me it feels like a medium beer. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Bottle. 2013 vintage. Thick motor oil pour, stuff looks like chewy molasses, with a beautiful layer milk chocolate head, this stuff looks amazing in a glass. Aroma, sweet Jesus, the chocolate jumps out at you for sure, roasted malts, a hint spice, fuck yea. Taste is milk chocolate, thick mouthfeel, roasted malts, light spice, silky smooth finish with a bitter aftertaste that lingers. Well it’s damn good, rich, smooth, balanced, the chocolate adds but doesn’t dominate. Very very good.

650ml brown bottle with a foil sealed top, poured into a snifter glass. Appearance is opaque brownish black with a medium sized thick brown head with good retention. Aroma of rye sourdough bread, dark chocolate, vanilla and muscovado. Flavours of dark chocolate, vanilla, raisins, muscovado, roasted malts and some oak wood notes. Taste is light-medium sweet and medium bitter. Palate is full bodied, creamy texture and soft carbonation. Great Divide Chocolate Oak Aged Yeti is excellent overall, not overly sweet it has the character of bitter dark chocolate, also some heat from the cayenne.
