Flavor is dark chocolate, some roast notes, a hint of coffee, and some spicy heat on the finish. Nice, although a bit more burn from the pepper than I would have liked in my beer.

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 28, 2009 Pitch black with a small head, very imperial stoutish.. Aroma is moderately complex, with roasty chocolate notes dominating... Very flavorful, with the roasted bitter chocolate notes, creamy body, medium full bodied.. very very good, but i prefer the oak aged and the espresso to this version... The chocolate came on a bit too strong.. halfonit (488), Fall River, Massachusetts, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 24, 2009 Pure black color with a nice and thick dark brown head. Aroma is of chocolate, sweeter malts, cocoa, and some vanilla. Flavor is of chocolate, malts, and oak. Has a nice chocolaty and oak aftertaste. I’m so happy to finally have had this one. beerandIT (190), Richmond, Virginia, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 23, 2009 Pours a very dark oil like black that you have no hope of seeing through. I get chocolate, lots of the roasted malts of course, coffee along with some toffee in there as well. Wow! Full bodied beer. I think what I like most about this one is that the chocolate is not so upfront like some other chocolate stouts I have had. Not so upfront on the nose with chocolate like you might think. Everything seems to meld together very well in how the flavors hit your palate like every single flavor just knows what it is supposed to do. Great lacing of the glass and a nice takeoff from the regular yeti imperial stout. clingman71 (261), Centerville, Ohio, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 21, 2009 Aroma of chocolate dominates, along with vanilla and a little woody mustiness. Flavor is big chocolate, roasted grains, but almost overdone with the chocolate, a little too sweet. I’d love to blend a chocolate yeti with the regular oak aged yeti to tone down the sweetness a bit. I didn’t really notice the cayenne at first, but as this beer warms it’s presence grows and certainly affects the flavor and mouthfeel. Once warm, the finish becomes spicy. This beer is very good, and close to being excellent in my opinion. potbeercollege (454), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 21, 2009 Bomber. As always, an excellent offering, but amp those hops back up and forget the coco. I mean the chocolate definitely adds a different flair making wood and alcohol more prevalent. Chocolate also adds earthier presence in nose. I mean its Yeti. carl4beer (410), Fairfax Station, Virginia, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 18, 2009 Pours black w thin tan head. Aroma is sweet cocoa and roasted malt. Mouthful is a smooth cocoa delight that finishes with a lttle bite, maybe that cayanne. The bite in the finish is a perfect complement to this great brew. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 17, 2009 Bomber I picked up in Dallas, and shared at Strong Ale 2009. Pours black with a tan head. Nose is sweet with a nice chocolate edge. Taste is sweet and full of chocolate, very nice, not that I doubted it. jsquire (2123), St. Marys, Ohio, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Dec 17, 2009 Dark beer with a frothy brown head that left sticky lace. Big dark brown sugar and cocoa nose with hints of green, grassy hops. Bitter chocolate flavors with vanilla and oak, bitter coffee and more of the grassy hops. Very lively on the tounge. Almost too much of a burn. Still, a nice big beer.
