4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
22oz Bottle. The pour was a deep dark black with an average (1-2 finger) medium brown creamy head that slowly diminished, down to a large puddle with a small collar and offered up some outstanding streaky lacing.
The aroma was robust to say the least of a roasted dark bread malt and a strong leathery yeast with notes of dark bitter chocolate, dark roasted coffee, vanilla, a touch of molasses and a mild woody scent.
The taste was quite roasty with a nice malty bitter sweet flavor that had a note of bitter chocolate and a bit of molasses from the start, with a big dose of roasted coffee and a slight alcohol presence towards the end. The flavor lasted an extremely long time following the swallow, with a bold mocha coffee taste and a slight alcohol warming sensation that left a bit of heat that hit the back of the throat.
Mouthfeel was full in body with a smooth, dry, oily texture and a soft carbonation.
Overall this was one fantastic brew, with a nice bold coffee/chocolate flavor with just a little heat left lingering on...

I think something is wrong with my taste buds; LOOOOOOVE all yeti’s. this one was just too bitter. aged for 1.5 years. probably just me. giving this a higher score than my experience b/c the yetis are greatness. will try again.

Mycket len och fin stout. Massor av choklad, rostad malt och vanilj. Riktigt bra!

Svart och trög. Choklad, vanilj och lena goda smaker. Har en bra grundöl, denna var ännu bättre

Akin to a gourmet chocolate is an accurate description; also a bit astringent. Chewy. I enjoyed it more with liverwurst and spicy jalapeno mustard. Not on par with other Yeti stouts.

Pours a dark as night black/brown from a bottle, rich brown head with some lacing. Dark chocolate aroma has a hint of licorice when warm, flavor is a bitter chocolate with notes of vanilla and caramel. Very good beer.

I realized a while back I had not yet rated what is probably my favorite Yeti so a great excuse to pick one up. Tons of bittersweet chocolate, of course, plus vanilla and roasty goodness. Just enough cayenne to let you know it’s there but of course I’d love three times as much in there.

Pours a dark brown to motor oil black with a thick foamy tan head. Thick, rich, and creamy texture. Roasted malt taste but not as much chocolate or oak as I expected. Did not really enjoy this as much as the plain Yeti.

The chocolate is very present with a touch of wood finished. Well balanced and dense bodied. Heats up your throat.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Dark, almost black, with a disappointing thin head. Chocolate, coffee and roasty aromas, though with a too apparent alcohol in the nose. Full bodied, creamy with rich chocolate, coffee and roasty flavors . Heavy bitterness with a slight and refreshing tartness. Rather fizzy for a stout but make this heavy and rich brew even more enjoyable. Long finish with bitter coffee and cocoa tones as the dominating components.
