COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our homage to the beers that have quenched the thirst of Belgian farm workers for centuries. Brewed with barley, wheat and rice and fermented at high temperatures with a special blend of four different yeast strains, Saison is fruity and slightly tart, with a dry finish that makes it that rarest of treats–a beer as refreshing as it is complex. 7.3% ABV.

Pretty well rounded saison. Pours cloudy blond with good head and lacing. Aroma of hay and funky malt. Soft carbonation with slightly cloying texture. Finishes a little sweet with some bitterness. Bottle.

A - Pours hazy pale straw with a half inch whit head that is very active and sinks quickly into nothing. S - Yeast, sulpher, damp hay, orange and lemon zest, gala apples, T - Lots of sweet orange, lemon, and apples. Sweet wheat, thin sugary sweet fruit flavors. M - Fizzy carbonation, thin body. It feels like zots candy on your tongue. Finish kind of stings the back of the throat. Great aroma not so great flavors. Everything seems bland with added sucrose. Serving type: bottle 05-09-2011

12 oz. bottle at Rye & Thyme - Leominster, MA. Nose is slightly grassy with notes of funk. Taste is a bread malts, flower petals, grassy notes and real light yeast tones. Some nice banana and bubblegum tones. Maybe even apples. Wheat yest is decent. Overall it’s not going to really impress a hardcore saison drinker but it’s a nice lighter, easy to drink example of the style.

On tap. Pours a medium gold with decent white head. Nose is skunk and yeast. Moderate carbonation with a clean, yeasty taste. Faint hint of the high abv. Good finish. Nice warm weather beer.

Appearance: Very hazy light golden color, almost yellow, had a small white head that faded very quickly Aroma: bread, sour, tart, citrus, lime?, very strong Taste: tart, moderately sour, hints of bitterness Palate: high c02 burn, high froth, leaves a bitter and sour aftertaste, Overall: this is a strong abv beer for such light color, you do get some alcohol notes coming thru, I really like this beer I wish we got it in LA

Lubiere (8248) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - APR 21, 2013
A hazed blonde saison with a thick frothy lacing white head. In aroma, a sweet fruity malt with light banana esters, light soapy notes, grassy and creamy. In mouth, a smooth fruity honey malt with loads of bananas, apples, orange pulp, a bit oxidized, but still good. Light alcohol warmth in finale, with light Belgian hops lingering.

beerandbeyond (452) - ISRAEL - APR 16, 2013
Tap sample. Cloudy yellow color with a small white head. Yeasty nose, with some funk, tart lemon peel and faint hops. Citrusy sweet flavors, tartness, earth, some vommit and low bitterness. Not balanced, not very impressive and hard to drink.
