Our homage to the beers that have quenched the thirst of Belgian farm workers for centuries. Brewed with barley, wheat and rice and fermented at high temperatures with a special blend of four different yeast strains, Saison is fruity and slightly tart, with a dry finish that makes it that rarest of treats–a beer as refreshing as it is complex. 7.3% ABV.

Canned on March 23rd, 2016. This was poured into a tulip. The appearance was a hazy to cloudy burnt yellow color with a thin layer of white foamy head that dissipated immediately. Light lacing speckled around the glass nicely. The smell had some bubblegum, light Belgian spices, sweet grass, and a light yeasty breadiness. The taste was mainly bready sweet with the spices coming across far underneath. Sweet bready aftertaste. Smooth wet finish. On the body, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation runs fairly light allowing spices to hit a little more on my tongue. Overall, this was a pretty good saison that I could have again.

Can at KISS Cafe, served in a tulip glass. Pours bright yellow golden with medium whites head that fades quickly. Aroma is clean lightly sweet crystal malt, mild yeasty notes on the back - fresh clove, banana, and slightly tart citrus. Taste is similar - light but persistent sweetness up front; cut by a heavier clove and yeast finish. Still quite dry and clean; and easy drinking - does not seem like a 7.3% beer.
