Draft. Cloudy golden yellow color, white edge head. Aroma of funky sourdough brea and citrus. Taste is malty straw, then bready and peppery. Tasty.

Crisp, fruity ale. The fruit doesn't overpower. A welcome taste. A gold standard for saison beers.

Had to drink from the bottle at the fat pelican. Not as spicy at front like I expected but it did kick in eventually. Fairly dry throughout with good Belgian yeast hay flavor. Strange metallic tinge in the middle but not too pronounced.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
From bottles and on tap. Pours a straw yellow with significant head. Aromas of spices and slight funkiness. Moderate carbonation and significant mouthfeel. Flavors of straw hops, Italian herbs, citrus zest, white pepper, orange, coriander, clove, cereal malts. Overall very refreshing with a farmhouse feel.

I compare all farmhouse ales to Oxbow’s farmhouse pale, criticize my benchmark all you want but it’s a near perfect beer. The "Colette" is nearly as good, i’m very happy with the aroma and taste, it represents the style quite well. I wish it was more readily available.

will try this one again; didn’t get as much aroma as others - faint funk and tart fruit. straw pour. Taste is light with banana and apple/pear tartness. well balanced though. interesting brew.

35 cl bottle @ home. Pours cloudy yellow with a white head that leaves a little lacing. Aroma is yeast, citrus, and spices. Flavour is much like the aroma – with a dry finish.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Highly effervescent seeing it burst forth out the bottle once the cap comes off. Cloudy and opaque pastel yellow capped off by a tight, steadfast inch of snow-white foam that waves a complex lace. Initial aroma of boiled cabbage and cat urine wanes to offer up notes of candied lemon, hay-bale, fresh mown grass, apple, banana, salted soft rind cheese and Belgian rock candi. Spritzy, lively and racy in mouthfeel. Candied lemon and grass here along with a husky, light grain that gives it a certain roughage. Warming finish, tart malt and fruit, very dry length. Quite spicy, peppery and a touch herbal. Citrus steals the show though, tangy, sweet/sour and juicy, heightened as it warms thoroughly. A very refreshing Saison, true to style. Good stuff!
