3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 IRBent (6) - - MAY 5, 2012 does not count
Poured from bottle into sampler. Hazy pale yellow appearance with light head that quickly dissipated. Sweet fruity floral fragrance that’s unique and inviting. Very light on the tongue with a taste that follows closely to its smell. Low carbonation and lack of bitterness that makes for a smooth and easy drink.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Pailhead (3439) - Plymouth, Michigan, USA - MAY 4, 2012
Bottle: The aroma consists of lemon/lemon peel, floral notes, yeast, and a hint of pepper. It pours a cloudy dull yellow with a small white head. The flavor starts with lemon and yeasty. The finish is floral along with lemon peel, citrus, and a hint of pepper. It’s medium bodied with mild carbonation and a somewhat soft mouthfeel. Overall, much better than I expected.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 mikesaum (227) - Ohio, USA - MAY 4, 2012
Pours a straw color, slightly hazy with a nice white head that dies quickly into a ring, tons of bubbles from the D in my duvel glass, aroma is a bit funky, belgian yeast, citrus, horse blanket. Taste has some nice yeast notes and a very citrus flavor, mostly lemon, refreshing and just a little funk, could have used more. Nice beer

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 BMan1113VR (6531) - Los Angeles, California, USA - MAY 1, 2012
Bottle (marked as bottled on March 23, 2012). Slow gusher (first I’ve seen from Great Divide). Pours with an almost entirely crystal clear (despite being bottle conditioned) yellow hued body with a small white head that fades to a ring disappointingly quickly. Lace is pretty minimal. Aromas are sharp apple, cidery, some raw malt (smells like fresh wort), medium estery, light phenols some spicy hop like character. Quite dry. Flavors are medium tart, lightly earthy and phenolic. A bit of a citrus acidity, quick duration. Medium bitter and some alcohol on the finish. Lightly oily mouthfeel. Lively bubbles, dry and a bit thin.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 rajendra82 (806) - Alpharetta, Georgia, USA - APR 23, 2012
Very pale, hazy yellow appearance, and a lot of carbonation gave this look a bit of a macro vibe, but the lemon zest and orange peel on the nose indicated that this was not one of the mass produced swill. The taste was pretty timid for a Saison, with flavors of lemon, simple sugar, and white pepper coming across each light and refreshing sip. The ABV felt nowhere near 7.3%, and the body was soft and airy. Very refreshing, but left me longing for more depth.
