Our homage to the beers that have quenched the thirst of Belgian farm workers for centuries. Brewed with barley, wheat and rice and fermented at high temperatures with a special blend of four different yeast strains, Saison is fruity and slightly tart, with a dry finish that makes it that rarest of treats–a beer as refreshing as it is complex. 7.3% ABV.

Slightly hazy yellow with a fair white head. Balanced aroma. Yeasty. Fruity. Flavor follows. Yeasty. Citrus. Lemony. Smooth medium body. Fair dryness and sweetness. Tasty and drinkable.

I had this at Flying Saucer. Pours cloudy yellow with a white head. Taste citrus, tart, sweet. I thought this was good. I would drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours two fingers of head on a cloudy light straw colored body. The aroma lemon and "brett". Smells nice. The taste has a strong bitter and sour start, smooths out and finishes with a mild lemon bitter note. The texture is fizzy with a lighter body. Fizzy and enjoyable.

"Fruity and slightly tart is spot on. Light in body for the abv. Vibrant cloudy yellow, yeast driven for sure on the palate. I liked it, but I’m hoping for standouts from GD. This was "pretty good.""

This beer was kind of interesting. I wasn’t expecting the 7.3%. This beer has some yeast notes dominating. Belgian flavors throughout.

Draft sample. Very malty belgian ale that has a flavor reminiscent of cotton candy. How you can call this a saison I don’t know.

This is an exceptionally flavorful beer, maybe on the sweet and heavy side but definitely very tasty. It is cloudy golden in appearance and it has a decent sized ring of mixed bubbles for a head. It smells of citrus, lilac and banana. This is a full bodied beer and quite thick and oily. This does bring out some juicy citrus tones but overall I think this would be much better were it lighter bodied and more drinkable. Carbonation seems to be moderate but is toned down a bit by the strong sweetness. It finishes w/ a firm citrus rind bitterness which helps bring some balance though. This does have a nice flavor profile overall but I feel like it needs to be toned down a bit to be any better than OK.

Cloudy golden beer with a virtually non-existent white head. Pungent nose of preserved lemon, sour yeast, and grains of paradise. Flavor is light and crisp with some green apple, pear, and citrus followed by a heady bitterness. Good saison, not exceptional.

Hazy golden brew with the aroma of citrus and bread. Taste is very sweet and it is sticky, so sticky sweet. Fruit, mild citrus, a tart bite and aftertaste. Very interesting to drink and one of the better Saison beers that I have had. With the amount of yeast sediment in the bottom of the bottle I have to wonder if this was bottle conditioned.
