Our homage to the beers that have quenched the thirst of Belgian farm workers for centuries. Brewed with barley, wheat and rice and fermented at high temperatures with a special blend of four different yeast strains, Saison is fruity and slightly tart, with a dry finish that makes it that rarest of treats–a beer as refreshing as it is complex. 7.3% ABV.

Aroma is heavily citrus and funk, taste is a bit of lemon, a lot of banana, and a bit of spice. Not bad, but not great.

Served on tap at Great Divide tap room. Cloudy yellow-orange color with a white head. Citrus yeast aroma. Medium body. Spicy banana Orange a little tart. Refreshing could use a little more flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On keg at Brew Dog, Leeds. Only a US brewery would make something like this. It’s vaguely "Belgian", but in no one specific way. Kinda Dupont-y saison vibes but sweeter/denser, or like a drier, more peppery Duvel. Kind of weiss-y too. A melange. Banana peel. Lemons. A little too sweet. Eh.

Tap@brewdog hkim golden hazy. Perfuny estery nose. Some clove, green banana, siasonny farmhousy yeasty hay malts. Med bodied, some roundness, dryness in flavour. Strawy malts in finish. Farmhousy, quite estery drink.

Draught @Brewdog helsinki. Pours golden hazy with a white head. Mild barnyardy notes, dried apricots, banana in aroma. Flavor has ripe banana, mild barnyard notes, tartness, wheat and apricots. Refreshing and quite awesome really.

(Keg at BrewDog Helsinki, 20150909) The beer poured cloudy and pale orange. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, tartness and spiciness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, spiciness, tartness, grass, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was tart and bitter. A very tart brew to be called as a Saison but still an enjoyable one.

Can. Pale, cloudy banana-yellow with a short-lived head of white. Soft banana, sweet pear and a bit of tart green apple. The flavor replicates this, with the banana/peardrop leading before tangy wheat, apple and alcohol. Finish leans sweet. Body’s a little big and fluffy for the style, and CO2 is low. Misses he mark a bit.

12 oz. can, consumed on 8-30-15. Pours a grainy, hay-like dirty gold with a large amount of cream-colored to light taupe head. Mostly clear with some haze. Very pleasant, floral, grassy, classic saison aroma explodes from the pour. Wheaten, hefeweizen-like flavor but stronger and better than a typical hefeweizen. Vanilla and cinnamon-like wheaten spiciness. Light hoppy dryness in the finish. A touch of booze. Tasty! Medium body. Frothy and smooth. Lively enough in the palate. I’m pleasantly surprised by just how good this is. I shouldn’t be, because Great Divide has been churning out well above average beer for a long time by craft brewing standards. This is an underrated saison here on RateBeer. Refreshing summer beer. The aroma and the flavor on this one are well above par.

Poured from twelve ounce bottle into a pint glass, thank you Danny! Pours a yellow, orange, but very translucent. Has a sour aroma and a sour taste to it, a very well done Saison

Poured from a bottle. Faint banana and a bunch of cereal and wheat in the nose and flavor. Nice grassy notes and grain throughout the course of the beer. Golden hay hue with moderate head and lacing.
