COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our homage to the beers that have quenched the thirst of Belgian farm workers for centuries. Brewed with barley, wheat and rice and fermented at high temperatures with a special blend of four different yeast strains, Saison is fruity and slightly tart, with a dry finish that makes it that rarest of treats–a beer as refreshing as it is complex. 7.3% ABV.

Bottle at Brewdog Shoreditch. Clear very pale gold. Saison yeast flavour. Hops on the finish are pretty special. Saison aroma. Bit too carbonated so got another glass to decant into. Poured the yeast in and it was fuller. Pretty good sweeter than usual but great hops on the finish.

On tap at Stone 17th anniversary party. An unclear, orange colored beer with a small dense white head. Curtains. The aroma has a nice saison yeast scent, orange peel, tropical fruits and a light sweet touch. Quite very on the palate, a bit fizzy. Medium body. Sweet tropical fruits, a little bitterness and some orange in the flavor, and peppery saison yeast. A bit sweet this one, else nice. 130816

A: The pour is a fairly clear straw color with a massive white head that eventually settles down. S: Quite a lot of fruity esters to the aroma. Heavy on the banana and pear notes, but lots of citrus going on, too. There is a touch of tart apple and lemon peel and some light malt and straw. Very nice. T: The flavor is somewhat light, but in a good/refreshing way. Banana sweetness followed by sweet pears. A touch of citrus peel bitterness, yeast, and light spices. A little bit of bready malt sweetness, too. M: Medium bodied with medium to high carbonation and a crispness to the finish. O: A really great saison. I found this to be a fantastic beer.

Hazy extra pale. Lots of pedio on the nose with some herbal continental hop. Has some florals on the palate. Light finish. Drinks lighter than its abv. Not my favourite example.
