COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our homage to the beers that have quenched the thirst of Belgian farm workers for centuries. Brewed with barley, wheat and rice and fermented at high temperatures with a special blend of four different yeast strains, Saison is fruity and slightly tart, with a dry finish that makes it that rarest of treats–a beer as refreshing as it is complex. 7.3% ABV.

A hazed blonde saison with a thick frothy lacing white head. In aroma, a sweet fruity malt with light banana esters, light soapy notes, grassy and creamy. In mouth, a smooth fruity honey malt with loads of bananas, apples, orange pulp, a bit oxidized, but still good. Light alcohol warmth in finale, with light Belgian hops lingering.

Bottle. Pours hazy yellow with an average, fizzy, white head, somewhat lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (hay, straw, meal), light hop (grass), heavy yeast (horse blanket, barnyard) with notes of lemon, coriander, dust, and pepper. Light bodied, creamy texture, lively carbonation, and a spicy finish. Long duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.

On tap @ Great Divide. Cloudy, light yellow-orange appearance with white. Yeasty, lemon citrusy, Belgian ale nose that’s a touch spicy. Lemon citrusy, fairly yeasty, lightly tart flavor initially followed by a mildly hoppy, bready taste. Yeasty, bready finish. Lemon yeasty aftertaste.

Very light yellow wtih a white head. Aroma is very light, not very funky. some lemon, grain and light malty sweetness. Flavor is pretty mild. Maybe refreshing, but not really a good representative of the saison style.

Bottle… Hazy yellow ale with a small, flimsy, white head. Spicy nose provides pale grains, yellow and fuzzy fruits. Medium-bodied with middling carbonation. Well-balanced and spicy with mild, metallic bitterness and very light acidity. Lengthy, crisp, spicy, aluminum/nickel finish.

355mL thanks to Blinkin. A hazy glowing gold pour yields a larger, white, brilliant head. Nice retention. White wisps of lace. Nose is apricot and small vinegar. Taste is musty and oatmeal malty. Odd palate. Mild lemon and cardboard with eggy sulphur and odd tartness. A little blander with lemon and lavender soap. Odd.
