COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our homage to the beers that have quenched the thirst of Belgian farm workers for centuries. Brewed with barley, wheat and rice and fermented at high temperatures with a special blend of four different yeast strains, Saison is fruity and slightly tart, with a dry finish that makes it that rarest of treats–a beer as refreshing as it is complex. 7.3% ABV.

I dont’ usually expect my Saisons to have an abv like this, but it’s Great Divide, so I knew balance would be in there. Smooth, light funk and the booze is well disguised. A valiant effort in a wide category that’s open for a lot of creativity. They brought it. A nice ale.

(12oz bottle) cloudy gold, very pale. Nose gold raisins, Candi sugar, not very Belgian but a nice smelling triple. Taste is sweet, not complex, gold raisins, sweet, thin body.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Beer Market Jaffa. Cloudy yellow with a big fluffy white head. Aroma is funky and earthy with citrus, overripe fruits, wheat and a bit of spiciness. Dry-ish flavor with a bit of sweetness, light acidity, alcohol, a bit of yeast fruitiness and a drier spicy finish. Medium-bodied.

Pours light golden with white head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is light with some banana and clove esters. Flavor is also light, fruity and refreshing with no noticeable bite for a 7.3% beer. Not the greatest beer I have had, but certainly a repeat purchase.

Very hazy yellow with a soapy white head. Nose has a mildly sweet yeast, malt and fruity aroma to it. The flavor has some sweet-slightly sour malty and fruity notes along with some yeasts, slight lemon zest and peppers. Aftertaste is also very dry. Body is moderate in weight and the carbonation is mild enough to where it adds some flavor. Pretty flavorful and refreshing and an all around good Saison.

Delicious, light and refreshing, but flavorful and slightly funky and peppery. Peachy flavor.

2013 draught to a snifter. Pours a hazy straw yellow with small fizzy white head. Aroma is citrus, a little barnyard funk with malt and a little tartness. Taste is the same with some grassiness and a little sweetness and some spice. Dry mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy yellow with a small white head that soon thins to a ring atop the glass. Yeast, spice, grass, citrus nose. Taste similar to nose with a little pepper, herbs, vegetal, farmy. Medium body, good level of carobonation, dry finish

Pours a hazy golden straw into the glass, with a minimal ring of suds that leaves trace lacing. The nose is of earthen hay and barnyard silage. Flavors follow in tow, somewhat grassy and hay-like, with a hint of tart fruit and grains. The finish is earthen and grassy, with a balancing hop that provides a light pepper accent. The palate is kept active and the quaff is easy. Medium-bodied, this goes down well during the summer months. Nice job.

Has a fruity grainy malt aroma, nice cloudy body. Bug mouthful sweet malt spice taste. A well brewed beer.

Scent is of salt water taffy and grapefruit. The color is so bright it’s basically luminescent. The head is a booming and full. The taste is light, airy, fruity. Colette has a tart finish. While it’s a little more complex than you would think, it’s still not as interesting or flavorful - for me - as I would have expected. Good pop on that ABV though.
