COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our homage to the beers that have quenched the thirst of Belgian farm workers for centuries. Brewed with barley, wheat and rice and fermented at high temperatures with a special blend of four different yeast strains, Saison is fruity and slightly tart, with a dry finish that makes it that rarest of treats–a beer as refreshing as it is complex. 7.3% ABV.

May 31st, 2011 - When Spring turns into Summer and the sun gets to be a little heavier in the sky, the fun and heady wheat beers of a month ago lose some of their potency. Something drier, with a heavier grain profile becomes a more suitable beer for cutting the sweat and anguish of an oppressive day. The Colette is a perfect fit for these transitional days, beautiful and burning bright with a dandelion yellow hue and a finger of soft, white foam. Banana and clove and a little corn tortilla rise from the surface, giving off light but coating smells. Fresh and full of grains, Great Divide did an excellent job of capturing the smell of the fields and putting that romantic image into a bottle. Full bodied and busy with a sharp and serrated aftertaste, the Colette can cut through dry mouth or thirst, with ample uplifting alcoholic corn and tortilla and flowery dandelion tastes, like bitter mizuna greens, a subtle vegetable bitterness and again, flowing dry graininess.

Farmhouse ale. I get an aroma of bandaids and a bit of malty sweetness from this clearish blonde brew. Very sweet and yeasty tasting in this full bodied brew. Not a farmhouse ale person at all. For the style they did a decent job.

12 Fl OZ ($12 6pack) an absolute great beer for the hot weather. Has a high ABV and is super drinkable. Flavor is very good, has the right farmhouse hops and yeast to produce the perfect taste. First beer I’ve had from the maker and it is excellent.

They call this a farmhouse ale but this is much better than any farmhouse ale I've had. Taste of honey but not sweet. A light spiciness like pepper and an apricot or orange finish I think. Great beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Old rating. Nice fruity saison. Big grapefruit, spice, orange peel, yeast. Very fruity overall. Drinkable, but slightly heavy for a saison.

12 oz pour from refrigerated bottle into stemmed tulip. Hazy/opaque. Dark straw/yellow. Moderate pour produces strong head; dissipates fairly quickly. No lacing. Nose is citrus, floral, maybe hay or grass. Mouthfeel, surprisingly creamy for a farmhouse. For the style, moderate-to-low carbonation. Taste is nice. Strong orange citrus, floral, a little strawberry, and a bitter hops aftertaste.

Immediately right after opening the bottle you get citrus, grapefruit and spices aroma. Pours clear , gold hue with a good white head. Head retention is ok, dissipates rather quick. Taste of citrus, grapefruit, spices, yeast, slightly bitter/sour and Orange zest. Crisp feel in the mouth with a slight dryness at the end. As a saison it’s not my favorite but it’s within my top 5. This is definitely a brew that can be enjoyed year round. Glad I was able to get a few packs.

Draft at Good Dog. Tulip. Very hazy yellow orange pour with a foamy white head. Lots or orange and grapefruit here. Feels more like a fruity wheat beer. Hints of passionfruit and chanterelle mushrooms.

Smells and looks like a wheat beer with the cloudy color, smell and taste are fruitier than normal though...quite good! Diminishes with time though...gets more of something (yeasty?)

12 oz Bottle. Appearance is hazy, golden color with light, off-white head. Aroma is heavy on the yeast and citrus with some banana and spice notes. Taste is fruity, sweet with balancing tartness with an earthy complexity. Palate is medium-bodied, thin texture, mild carbonation, and a tart finish.
