COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our homage to the beers that have quenched the thirst of Belgian farm workers for centuries. Brewed with barley, wheat and rice and fermented at high temperatures with a special blend of four different yeast strains, Saison is fruity and slightly tart, with a dry finish that makes it that rarest of treats–a beer as refreshing as it is complex. 7.3% ABV.

12 Fl OZ ($12 6pack) an absolute great beer for the hot weather. Has a high ABV and is super drinkable. Flavor is very good, has the right farmhouse hops and yeast to produce the perfect taste. First beer I’ve had from the maker and it is excellent.

Bottle pours a hazy, light orange. Aroma is funky, yeasty, and slightly fruity. Taste is great, fruity, spicy, yeasty. Loved it. Will be buying again.

UPDATED: JUL 26, 2015 Veldig god øl, bra smak uten å få en overdøvende smak av alkoholprosenten. Verdt å prøve

Fairly hazy, golden yellow, poured into a Duvel tulip, rocky white head, crazy lacing, very cavernous head... Mild funk, saison yeast, light fruits, bright aroma, inviting... Slightly fruity, sliightly yeasty, a little peppery... Medium body with an airy quality, lively, gets a little yeasty as it warms... I really liked this...

UPDATED: AUG 14, 2012 Cloudy straw color, bright white head. Mild aroma of pilsner hay. Flavors reminiscent of classic saisons, but over 7abv its a bit strong. Mouthful creamy and full of wheat, maybe a bit big for a summer beer. Phenols at a nice level. A little bit cloying for style.Overall though a well made beer that ill get again. Tough style to interpret, so props to G D.

I love it. Just the right amount of funk. I let it settle, so it poured only slightly cloudy straw yellow, could have a lot more sediment if you like. Strong lemon and yeasty bread dough aroma. Sweet and tart with lots of fruit- lemon, apricot, tart apple - and a little spice. Lots of yeast character, sour funk, tartness, and that spiciness. Fairly quick dry finish. I’d put it in the biere de garde category rather than saison.

Light with a mild spice and hints of apple and a slight tartness. Crisp dry finish.

12 oz bottle into tulip. Aroma is of grain--you know, it kind of smells like a farm, minus the cowshit. That’s a compliment. Simple, crisp, and refreshing. Pours a hazy light gold with minimal head or lacework. Keeps a collar of foam throughout. Taste is spicy, thirst-quenching, delicious. I’ve been on an Imperial Stout kick since September or so of last year, but these kinds of beers are becoming increasingly attractive to me. I don’t know if it’s just the longing for summer, or just the wanting of less heavy beers, but this tastes absolutely fantastic at the moment. It does taste very similar to a Belgian wit, like some other users have said. An extremely tasty wit if I must say so. Carbonation is high, agreeable. Kind of slick. I can imagine myself gulping this down by the case during the summer--if I could afford it.

THOUGHTS: A very nice saison. Not as funky as some, but it was very refreshing and easy to drink for the ABV. Hid alcohol well. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a lightly cloudy, medium golden with very nice carbonation and a large, nearly white head that mostly diminished but left excellent lacing. The aroma was light to moderate hay and straw; moderate to heavy doughy, earthy and cobwebby yeast; citrus and other fruit, and wheat. The initial flavor was lightly sweet and acidic; while the finish was sweet, acidic and lightly sour with an average duration. There was wheat, white bread, lots of yeast, fruit, citrus, dough and sour lemon. The light to medium body was fairly dry with rather fizzy carbonation and a dry and lightly astringent finish.

Very enjoyable saisson. Refreshing, yeasty, citrusy, slightly spicy and tart.
