Our homage to the beers that have quenched the thirst of Belgian farm workers for centuries. Brewed with barley, wheat and rice and fermented at high temperatures with a special blend of four different yeast strains, Saison is fruity and slightly tart, with a dry finish that makes it that rarest of treats–a beer as refreshing as it is complex. 7.3% ABV.

12 ounce bottle from a Great Divide variety pack. I will be honest here... I was a bit skeptical of a US born saison but I am happy to say that this was very enjoyable. I had this on a hot summer day while grilling outside with my family. Pours a hazy golden color with yeast floating through the beer and has a huge white bubbly head. The aroma was very pleasant for a hot summer day... it consisted of some fresh yeast, possibly some coriander, and some very light citrus fruits. The taste had some form of fruit tartness to it (possibly cherry) with some nice hints of a Belgian ale. Overall, a very enjoyable brew on a hot day. Great Divide impresses me again!

Can at KISS Cafe, served in a tulip glass. Pours bright yellow golden with medium whites head that fades quickly. Aroma is clean lightly sweet crystal malt, mild yeasty notes on the back - fresh clove, banana, and slightly tart citrus. Taste is similar - light but persistent sweetness up front; cut by a heavier clove and yeast finish. Still quite dry and clean; and easy drinking - does not seem like a 7.3% beer.

Pours hazy blonde with a big white head. Nose has some funk and wheat with a hint of citrus. Flavor is a balanced Belgian ale with just enough tart to move it to a saison. very drinkable.

It pours a golden color with some hazing. It has a large, pillow head with minimal lacing. It has aromas of citrus fruit spices, a bit of floral, yeast, and a hint of lemon. It has initial citrus flavors with lemon, tart sensation after the first tastes, earthly elements, and some hints of salt. It is highly carbonated, has a light moderate feel, and a dry finish.

bottle @ Jungle Jim’s / Eastgate OH --- Cloudy dirty light amber color, fluffy white head, clouds of lace. Taste is semi-sweet malt that adds a burst of carbonation in the swallow, followed by spice and yeast on the way to a very lightly hopped finish. More a witbier than a saison, but still balanced and interesting. I like it.
