COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our homage to the beers that have quenched the thirst of Belgian farm workers for centuries. Brewed with barley, wheat and rice and fermented at high temperatures with a special blend of four different yeast strains, Saison is fruity and slightly tart, with a dry finish that makes it that rarest of treats–a beer as refreshing as it is complex. 7.3% ABV.

Bottle. Appearance is a bright pale yellow and gold color with an inch of off-white foam. Aroma is sharp and yeasty with notes of citrus peel, pear and clove. The taste starts out tart and acidic with a blend of lemon, white grape, green apple and honey malt sweetness. Also a bit of pepper and spice from the yeast. As expected, there’s lots of lively carbonation in the body along with a dry, tart finish. Gets the job done as a thirst quencher.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. The pour is a milky pale yellow with a tremendous white head and some sediment deposits in the bottom. Distinctively Belgian aroma of toasted pale malts, bread, yeast, pear, and thin grassy hops. Medium to bold body. The taste is toasty and sweet with a mildly dry finish. Not tart or sour in the last lie some Farmhouse ales can be.

Bottle from Archive Beer Boutique 140515. Don’t see many Great Divide beers out this way but the ones that you do are always very good, as is this one. Clear golden colour with a limited white head. Tropical fruit in the nose. The flavour fills the mouth with fruit and alcohol, a great combination.

Tap. Light golden pour with minimal head. Apple cider, vinegar, wheat. Great carbonation. Sweet and sour finish. Refreshing but finish is a bit sweet for me

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. Aroma- Yeast, wheat and fruit drive this train. Appearance- Pours a murky yellow with a large white head. Taste- Citrus is a predominate flavor that blends well with the wheat Palate- A medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation. Overall- A good brew, worth giving a try.

Farmhouse ale. I get an aroma of bandaids and a bit of malty sweetness from this clearish blonde brew. Very sweet and yeasty tasting in this full bodied brew. Not a farmhouse ale person at all. For the style they did a decent job.
