UPDATED: MAR 9, 2014 Appearance: rich darker gold color, almost amber, pours with a medium sized beige head, it’s moderately dense Aroma: intense grain, smells like my malt bag when I brew, pretty amazing, oats, can’t smell it enough Taste: very grainy, some hints of coffee, wheat, also has an assertive hop backbone that compliments the grain very well, oats Palate: slightly below average carbonation, bitter aftertaste, medium mouthfeel, Overall: this is a beer that tastes just like my home brewing malt cheese bag, it’s delicious, really wish we got great divide here, they named it pale ale but it’s head and shoulders better than other malt front beers ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
This has an amber pour, but there is not a lot of flavor, mainly bread and gains and a little off flavor. I’ll try again and re-rate, not sure about the bar where I got it.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
2013 bottle to a Dogfish Head IPA glass. Pours a light copper color with a fizzy off-white head and good lacing. Aroma is bready and slightly earthy/musty with some floral hops and a little raisin. Taste follows nose with the bread at the front followed by a little sweetness and ending with the floral bitterness. Medium, semi-dry mouthfeel.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass, with a big fluffy white head with good retention and great lacing. Sweet caramel and bready aroma with just a faint hint of floral hops, which may be because the bottle was 6 months old. Taste is sweet at first with some caramel and honey and biscuit flavors. Some graininess that transitions to a moderate herbal than floral bitterness. Finishes with a light lingering bitterness but semi dry. Mouthfeel is creamy with a medium/full body and medium carbonation. Not bad but flavors were a bit simple and segregated. May have been because of the age of the bottle.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: JUL 27, 2013 Pours a bright orange. The flavor is missing the punch of normal IPAs and suffers because of it. The aroma is negligible. This is a soon to be forgotten IPA.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Although sweetness is relatively restrained, hints of honey and orange blossom complement hops and yeast to deliver complexity even if intensity is a bit lacking.
