DPA has risen to become one of the most award-winning English-style pale ales in the world. Sporting a brilliant copper hue and an assertive floral hop aroma, DPA is known for its smooth, malty middle, which is expertly complemented with hearty and complex hop flavor. DPA's extraordinary hop finish is marked by crisp yet moderate hop bitterness.

Really well crafted beer, but with very malty overtones true to the English model. I enjoyed it, but the malt flavor didn't hit my sweet spot. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: APR 15, 2013 Bottle. Pours a golden copper color with minimal head. Aroma is mild with faint hops. Flavor is bitter and mild with a nice toasty finish. The mouthfeel is thick and soapy. Not bad. But I could use a little more aroma hops.

Bottle. Disclaimer: bottle is out of date. Pours golden with no head. Nose is weak. Taste has solid malt backbone but unfortunately the hops are dead due to the age. Decent palate with good carb. Will re-rate a fresh bottle. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle pour in American pint glass. Medium white fluffy head and modest lace. A beautiful amber color with slight haze. Aroma is light with malts, grass, earth and bread. Taste is slightly bitter with earthy tones, light floral hops, and a malty finish. Rather heavy carbonation.

Pours a clear, light orange with a good-sized head. Floral hops with a bit of spice and some caramel malt character on the nose as well. Biscuit and toffee. Nice medium-high carbonation. Grassy, bitter finish. A very nice pale, and I’m not the biggest fan of most.

Clear orange with a white head. Aroma is full of bread with some floral notes and a bit of citrus. Flavor is similar with some biscuit and toffee malt as well as the associated sweetness. I also get some grass and a bit of orange citrus. Low bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

A good sessionable English ale. A golden hue with white head. Smells mostly of malt. A sweet malt front with a light bitter tail.

A sweet malty aroma with a hint of floral hop notes. Pours a clear amber, white head doesn't linger but clings to the glass. A medium body with prominent toasty malt flavor, maybe a little caramel note too. Some sweetness but not overly sweet. Nice smooth finish with a floral hop bite. Really enjoyable pale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
