4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 19/20
Found this beer on draft. Dark brown with a thick mocha colored foam. Smells of roasted Malt, coffee and chocolate. When itís cold the coffee is more prominent. Once it warms a bit you get more depth with some sweeter malt and caramel. Overall an outstanding beer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
04-17-2011. 22 oz bottle.
A- Pours a nearly black dark, dark brown with a huge creamy, frothy chocolate colored head. Completely opaque held to light. Leaves great lacing. Absolutely gorgeous.
S- Smells great, lots of dark chocolate, roasted coffee, and some vanilla sweetness and alcohol. You can also pick up on just a bit of hops as well.
T- Wow, this is a seriously flavorful beer. A giant wave of coffee and very bitter dark chocolate is the first thing to hit you. Vanilla is still there but definitely takes a back seat to the chocolate/espresso combo. The alcohol creates a slight warming effect but not too much. Finishes with a nice charred coffee bean flavor. Overall itís dominantly bitter instead of sweet.
M- On the full bodied side, very thick and chewy, the carbonation does a nice job of mellowing it out a bit.
O- A really excellent Imperial stout, itís nice to see one thatís on the bitter side every once in a while. Must try.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber--normally Iím a bit suspicious of oak aged, barrel aged, etc. beers as my taste doesnít match the rest of the beer world. That being said, I loved this one. Almost black with a large caramel colored head and lots of lacing. Aroma was all roasted coffee. Taste is roast, smokiness and chocolate and a bitter finish. Produce place.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Rated on 4-11-2009 at Fort Wayne Gathering. This bottled that was bottled on Feb. 13, 2009 according to the label, pours a tan small head with good retention, opaque dark brown body, and one ring of lacing. The Aroma is oak, vanilla, roasty malts, mildly hoppy, and chocolate. The Taste is a copy of the Aroma plus some bitterness. The Palate is silky smooth and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, this is a good beer, however, I agree with Patrick767 that this bottle should have been aged for a while. Nonetheless, this beer is worth trying.
