Espresso Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout is a new addition to the Yeti clan. A generous infusion of Denver’s own Pablo’s espresso adds yet another layer of complexity to this beer, combining with the vanilla oak character, intense roasty maltiness and bold hop profile to create a whole new breed of mythical creature. It’s official, you can now have Yeti with breakfast.

Suggested food pairings: Breakfast burrito, eggs Benedict, hash browns, cheesecake, creme brulee.

Pours a thick black with a nice burnt brown head. Nose of roasted coffee beans with a hint of vanilla. Comes on smooth and creamy but those coffee notes hit you hard on the tongue. Medium to thick bodied mouth feel. It finishes with bitter coffee notes followed by a smooth creamy aftertaste that lingers on the palate. One of the best coffee stouts I’ve had. It’s complex, it’s layered and it drinks like a meal. A must try for any stout fans (or coffee fans for that matter).

Bottle. Chocolate fudge, smoky espresso, hay, and barley malt aroma. Oil black with minimal head. Chocolate fudge, burnt espresso, barley malt and light hay aroma. Body pretty light for the style. Pleasant.

On tap at Joe Canals West Deptford.
Appearance: Pitch black body with the darkest shade of brown on a head that I’ve ever seen. Darker than the words Yeti on the label.
Aroma: Big espresso with chocolate with a touch of pine and earth.
Taste: Huge espresso throughout. Like chewing espresso beans. Slightly piney overlays with just a touch of chocolate. The espresso is bitter and pungent. Hints of oak tannins linger with espresso.
Palate: Medium to thick bodied, mild carbonation.
Overall: This is balls to the walls espresso in a great way. Avoid this if you aren’t a fan of coffee, but if you are then you’ll want to gulp this down. Very nice.

Motor oil color with dark head. Sweet roasty malt aroma. Well balanced sweet toasty malt profile followed by notes of chocolate, with a slightly bitter coffee finish. Low alcohol warmth. Really comes into its own at warmer temperatures.
