Espresso Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout is a new addition to the Yeti clan. A generous infusion of Denver’s own Pablo’s espresso adds yet another layer of complexity to this beer, combining with the vanilla oak character, intense roasty maltiness and bold hop profile to create a whole new breed of mythical creature. It’s official, you can now have Yeti with breakfast.

Suggested food pairings: Breakfast burrito, eggs Benedict, hash browns, cheesecake, creme brulee.

Bottle at BrewDog, pours pitch black, funky coffee, caramel liquorice nose. Creamy mouthfeel, slight rubber taste, coffee roast malt, caramel, sweet then slight bitter finish. Nice but expected more, little thin.

Aroma of high quality espresso, oak, vanilla, booze, roast and some lactose sweetness. Appearance is a 5; all Yetis are a 5 with their dense black coloring and brown head of foam. Taste is more of the milk sugar from the aroma, a good amount of espresso but not bitter or overwhelming, oak and vanilla. Very smooth and only has a hint of hop bitterness at the very end. Great aftertaste, very drinkable. Good palate, a little on the thin side for a big Imperial Stout. This may be the best Yeti I have rated yet.

Roasted coffee beans; cacao beans to the nose. Beige head. Absolutely black. The beer is thick and falls with heavy viscosity. Malty, bitter coffee after-taste.

Bottle. Nose is super rich dark coffee, almost smells bitter. Pitch black with medium colored brown head. Very large in size. Taste is super dark chocolate, bitter, almost ashy. Interesting. A bit over the top and bitter.

Bottle split a few ways. Pitch black pour with an espresso coloured head. Notes of heavy roast, bitter coffee, some dark dried fruits, figs, caramel and some sweet vanilla.

Bottle. Motor oil black pour with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate and coffee. Taste is dark chocolate and molasses with the espresso coming through on the finish. Very good brew.

Bottle. Exp. march 1st, 2016. Pours a lovely pitch black with a small, dense, tan head. Aroma has lots of coffee, roasted malts, dark dark chocolate, tobacco, lots of maltiness. Taste is rather sweet, but all the dark, roasty notes balances it out. Lightly ashy, but without being too bitter. Doesn’t have the fruity coffee or the coffee acidity, which i miss a bit. Probably passed it’s prime this one. Still good though. Average carbonation, full body.

Bottle thanks to bursprak! Thanks buddy. Pours pitch black with a medium mocha head. Aromas of coffee beans, roasty malts, dry cocoa, fudgey. Taste is very roasty, coffee, dry cocoa powder, light licorice, malty, bitter.
