COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Espresso Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout is a new addition to the Yeti clan. A generous infusion of Denver’s own Pablo’s espresso adds yet another layer of complexity to this beer, combining with the vanilla oak character, intense roasty maltiness and bold hop profile to create a whole new breed of mythical creature. It’s official, you can now have Yeti with breakfast.

Suggested food pairings: Breakfast burrito, eggs Benedict, hash browns, cheesecake, creme brulee.

Pours a deep, dark mahogany with a dense, full, medium brown head which lingers.......aroma of dark chocolate, coffee......taste is a thick mouthfeel of intense coffee grounds, subdued chocolate, booze peaking through, moving to a slightly bitter but extreme coffee finish and touch of sweetness.

Pours jetblack as the original. Aroma is an explosion of coffee and dark malts, chocolate. Intense. Taste furter amplifies it, so much dark malts and coffee tones. dark chocolate. I like all the versions of the Yeti, but this is really the one that perfects it for my part, it really takes a fenomenal stout to the next level. GREAT stuff! Bottle from SB.

Bottle pour opaque black with thick dark mocha head. Nose roasted malt, dark fruit, coffee, and hint of tannin. Taste similar to nose with nice mix of currant and roast. Oak seems to come through in the finish. Very smooth and enjoyable.

Big huge beauty. Pours black with dark tan medium head and clumpy lacing. Nose is oak and espresso. Flavours of espresso, lots of earthy bitterness, some dark chocolate. Taste big bitter big/med sweet. Full creamy body with lively carbonation.

Pours opaque black with chocolate milk coloured head. Coffee grounds at the forefront of the nose. Feels a bit like when you've left the grounds in the coffeemaker for a few days. Big maltiness as well, slight peppery prickle and some bay leaf, but the old coffee grounds are really dominant. Full bodied palate, coffee and slight peppery flavour. Less felt bitterness than the normal Yeti initially, but somehow more elongated. The finish is epic. A very nice stout, but I feel that they've almost overdone it with the coffee. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(650ml bottle from Systembolaget) Pours black with a frothy dark tan head and lace. Aroma of dark, fairly heavily roasted malts with a chocolately sweetness, some fairly intense brewed espresso, and a little oaky vanilla. On the palate, rich chocoloate and dark malt core with moderately high roast, some nice brewed coffee flavour complementing it on the palate. Oak and vanilla comes in from the middle, coffee roast picks up towards the finish, chocolate persisiting. Finish pretty dry, moderate roast, coffee and coffee grounds, a bit of oak. Aftertaste not super intense, lingering coffee and roast. Medium full, silghtly oily mouthfeel. This is a really nice espresso stout, balanced and pretty rich, but it doesn’t quite have the long, complex finish that the best of style have in my opinion. Still highly recommended.

From notes on 3/30 On tap at Great Divide. Also, this is the nitro version. Excellent beer. Sweet cocoa flavor with lost of espresso taste. Bought a bottle to take home. My guess is I’ll like the non-nitro version even more.

From 22oz bottle to shaker. Pour is a dark brown, nearly black with a thick tan head. Nose is huge roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, roast. Taste is mostly sour, hints of sweetness shine through however. Thick mouthfeel. Impressive beer

Dark like a moonless night, a deep chocolate taste as if a machine gun of the richest cocoa was raining down upon you. And the finish, a nice shuttle spice, Like the time you almost made it to mexico but then turned back for safety at the last mile marker. Also, yetis are cool
