Commercial Description:
Espresso Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout is a new addition to the Yeti clan. A generous infusion of Denver’s own Pablo’s espresso adds yet another layer of complexity to this beer, combining with the vanilla oak character, intense roasty maltiness and bold hop profile to create a whole new breed of mythical creature. It’s official, you can now have Yeti with breakfast.

Suggested food pairings: Breakfast burrito, eggs Benedict, hash browns, cheesecake, creme brulee.

22 Oz bottle purchased at Rozi’s in Lakewood. Big foamy head on this stout. Woah momma is it big time foam. The aroma is actually not that relevant. It just smells like a mild stout. No special oak or coffee busting through there, I though my nose was broked. However, the flavor brings it home. The espresso adds this nice little layer to the flavor, but does so at the expense of the a little balance. This is like a drunken 3-way teeter-totter of oak, espresso and sugary stoutness. Not a bad beer, but could use a longer resting time with the wood to give it more earthy and less sugary taste. I must say, it sure does go down really well, which is nice considering the amount going on with the beer.

Pours a jet black with a huge foamy rich brown head. Aroma is huge espresso coffee, cocoa, licorice, roasted barley. Flavor is espresso, roasted barley, chocolate, licorice, vasnilla, oak, and a touch of chocolate and hop bitterness in the finish. Fantastic brew, the espresso is very well integrated and the mouthfeel is slick and creamy. Good stuff.

Bottle Pours out a black topped with a nice tan head. Aroma holy Oak batman we need to let this one sit a little longer. But still the aroma was more oak along with bitter coffee and some sweet roast. Tast was more of the oak. i think this was the most oak I have ever had on a beer. More on the tast a nice coffee along with some vanilla. thanks Ditmier for this one.

Bottle. Pours black with a thick, foamy dark tan head. Aroma of oak, bitter coffee grounds, and sweet roasted malt. Flavor is quite oaky with only mild roasted malt and vanilla. The oak really dominates the flavor and the coffee notes do not really come through. They should rename this beer "Super Oak Aged Yeti." 7/4/7/4/14 (3.6/5)

Bottle. Aroma of chocolate, mocha more than straight espresso, earthy hops, oak. Flavor has milk chocolate coming up against oak and bittering hops. Not really enough espresso flavor to me for a beer labeled as such, I feel like I got as much espresso/coffee flavor as I would expect to find in an impy *not* infused with espresso. Hops also seem to detract from the coffee and sweeter chocolate notes and really overpower the finish and aftertaste. Seems the more I drink this and the more I write about it the less I like it...

Thanks to BConley for sharing the bomber. Thick black pour, very motor oil like and a thick tan head. Chocolate, vanilla, oak and espresso aroma, vey complex and very nice. Thick chewy chocolate, oak and vanilla taste. Lots of chocolate milkshake consistency going on, smooth and roasty. Excellent.

Bottle shared by DuffmanSW with Hophead22, courtesy Mikeandi. Pours pitch black with a head the consistency and color of chocolate mousse. Aroma is sweet vanilla, dark fruit, chocolate, slight alcohol and some earthiness. Flavor is coffee, chocolate, vanilla, with a long and dry bitter finish. Palate is smooth as silk with nice soft carbonation. This stuff is boss.

22oz bottle courtesy of DuffManSW, via mikendi from BA. Super dark pour with a real dark brown, creamy head. Sweet coffee aroma, some chocolate as well. Chocolate, vanilla shot to the mouth right away, some bitterness in the end, very easy to drink as well, quite good.
