Nose of chocolate, coffee, with hints of vanilla. A solid black pour with a none lasting tan head and minimal lacing. A taste bomb. Where to begin…coffee, chocolate, vanilla, roasted malts and a nice bitter hoppy finish. Medium-full bodied with medium carbonation. Overall, EXCELLANT!

Bottle at home. Pours asleep brown/black with a tan head. Looks good. Aroma is light vanilla, milk choc, coffee... Full body, medium carbonation. Milk and bitter dark choc, coffee beans, caramel, ash, light booze, hint of grass... Lovely balance. Smooth and tasty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very strong coffee aroma. Almost like a cup of espresso. Roasted malt, almost has a smoked feel but it think that is coffee. Bitter dry coffee finish. Coffee dominates this one. It is good, don't get me wrong, but very espresso. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours this beautiful black with this tan head. The aroma brings out lovely fruity, chocolate almost close to cherry. The front taste is caramel and cherry & goes into a bitter coffee flavor. The end taste goes into a bitter, vanilla flavor. Surprisingly, it is not a heavy mouthfeel & would highly recommend it.

It pours black with a dark brown head. It does produce some lacing. It has aromas of coffee, espresso, chocolate, and wood elements. It is quite lively from the carbonation. There are flavors of coffee, chocolate, espresso and roasted elements. The are also a bit for floral elements. The finish is bitter and the carbonation tingles on the palate.

Poured from bottle dark black viscous with a foamy lingering brown head. Aromas of smoke coffee and dark fruit. Taste is smooth with loads of chocolate and coffee with earthy burnt tones. Slightly bitter at the finish but a super beer.

Pours pitch black and much like oil with a huge densely bubbled cinammon brown head. Lots of lacing. She's a beauty. Aroma is oakwood and smoke with notes of coffee, chocolate. Taste is a powerful blend of toasted oak and deep, rich, roasted expresso. Coffee, vanilla and some warming booze. Smooth and slightly chewy mouthfeel. A beer of great depth and character. Super balance - not too sweet but just the right amount of smoky roasted bitterness. Really, really good!

Bottle to goblet Coffee, dark chocolate, molasses, caramel, grains, dough, clove and vanilla. Dark, oily black, with a thin brown head. Taste is loads of coffee, dark chocolate, clove, soy, burnt wood, and lots of bitterness.
