4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
1 year aged bomber (thanks beer store!) into over-sized snifter glass. Pitch black, maybe the slightest brown color around ring, with very little dark tan head after a hard pour. Aroma of dark coffee, roasted malt sweetness, vanilla, smoke and a slight note of oak woodiness. Taste is big chocolate and espresso up front. The middle adds nuances of earthiness and licorice. Finish is lingering bitter chocolate, bitter hops, smoke and roast. Heavy body, rich, thick, oily, creamy and smooth. Wow, on a non-work day this would be great for breakfast! Vacation season is coming up ....

From notes on 3/30
On tap at Great Divide. Also, this is the nitro version. Excellent beer. Sweet cocoa flavor with lost of espresso taste. Bought a bottle to take home. My guess is I’ll like the non-nitro version even more.

From 22oz bottle to shaker. Pour is a dark brown, nearly black with a thick tan head. Nose is huge roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, roast. Taste is mostly sour, hints of sweetness shine through however. Thick mouthfeel. Impressive beer

4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Dark like a moonless night, a deep chocolate taste as if a machine gun of the richest cocoa was raining down upon you. And the finish, a nice shuttle spice, Like the time you almost made it to mexico but then turned back for safety at the last mile marker. Also, yetis are cool

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle @ home. Aged 2011 edition. Opaque black with a nice big brown head. Sweet and roasted aroma with chocolate, vinous raisins, oak, vanilla and coffee. Big mouth feel. Medium carbonation. Overall dry and really roasted taste. Dark fruits, dark chocolate, oak and gentle vanilla. Nice coffee bitter finish and long lasting cocoa & dark chocolate aftertaste. Slso late notes of red fruits. Espresso Flavors might have faded over the years but it’s still a perfect beet.

Draft at Barrel Republic. Pours dark brown with a fizzy tan head. Tastes like dry bitter coffee, dark bittersweet chocolate, ash, smooth alcohol, woody. Light/medium body and low carbonation. Smells like ash, woody, dark chocolate, and some lightly burnt coffee.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottled 01/07/15. Pours pitch black with a beautiful tan/brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, and a smokey oak character. Flavor is coffee up front, roasted malts, and bitter coffee finish. The oak is excellent and noticeable, but not as much in the flavor or perhaps finish as the oak aged; however, the coffee adds a brilliant element. Fantastic imperial stout.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Tasted from draft. Pours black with dark brown head. Excellent coffee aroma with some dark chocolate. Taste is similar to aroma. Big time coffee with dark chocolate and some caramel and toffee. Pretty full bodied. Not too drying on the palate. Definitely one of the best coffee stouts.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A fantastic imperial stout for coffee lovers. The aroma of coffee is among my favorites, and this stout brings it home. I would have forgot I was drinking beer if not for the roasted malt and faint hop kick.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours almost black with brown head. Smells coffee and chocolate. Mouthfeel is velvety with medium carbonation. Taste is very balanced hops, caramel, chocolate and coffee. A very nice beer. Ten Fidy and Yeti are now my favorite imperial stouts.
