4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottled on Jan 9, 2012. Poured into snifter. Jet black in color with a nice creamy 2 finger dark tan head with good retention and a thick layer of lacing. Espresso, dark chocolate and vanilla on the nose. Flavor is similar to the smell with a lot of espresso up front, notice a little bit the oak flavor along with some vanilla on the back of the tongue. Get some roasted malt and chocolate flavor as well along with a little bit of alcohol warming. Mouth feel is very smooth and creamy. Full bodied with light to moderate carbonation. Overall a very enjoyable brew. Good balance of sweet and bitter with a well done coffee touch.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
22 oz bomber, bottled on Dec 22, 2014.
Inky black pour, thick mocha head, sticky lace.
Roasted coffee dominates the aroma, but there is also vanilla, chocolate, charred oak. Flavor is just as good as the aroma. Coffee, sweet vanilla, bitter chocolate, oak, Bourbon.
Creamy mouth feel, well hidden alcohol, nice bitterness coming from the roasted grain and the oak tannins. I should have smoked a Padron Anniversario with this. That would have been an excellent pairing.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
2013 vintage bottle, pours a dark brown, near black, 1 finger khaki head that fades into some spotty lacing. Aromas are espresso through the roof! Ground coffee, chocolate, vanilla, oak and cereal. Taste is fairly bitter upfront with a shot of espresso getting your attention. Lots of roasted malt, oat and earth make this a pretty chewy beer. A bit more chocolate, char, tobacco and vanilla swirl throughout the backend before a heavy dose of bitter coffee and a slight alcohol sting finish this one off. Solid beer, but not my favorite Yeti.

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Really nice. All Yeti i’ve had are awesome.
Aroma is dark roast coffee. Very peaty.
Appearance is dark black. Foamy brown head. Like carmelizing sugar.
Taste is bitter chocolate.
Feel is suprisinglt light and airy. Good carbonation for a thick beer. Velvety smooth.
Only knock is maybe a touch too bitter in the aftertaste, but other than that, perfect.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at mammoth. Clear garnet pour with basically no head. Aroma: chocolate, oats (because you can smell that, right?). Soft coffee, toast and grains. Taste: lightly sweet, grainy, coffee is weak, moderately roast finish. Full- body, slick texture, average carbonation. Overall: either they’ve been sitting on this keg for awhile, or this is just a disappointing beer. Either way, 1 tick and done.
