4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottled on Jan 9, 2012. Poured into snifter. Jet black in color with a nice creamy 2 finger dark tan head with good retention and a thick layer of lacing. Espresso, dark chocolate and vanilla on the nose. Flavor is similar to the smell with a lot of espresso up front, notice a little bit the oak flavor along with some vanilla on the back of the tongue. Get some roasted malt and chocolate flavor as well along with a little bit of alcohol warming. Mouth feel is very smooth and creamy. Full bodied with light to moderate carbonation. Overall a very enjoyable brew. Good balance of sweet and bitter with a well done coffee touch.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours opaque black with chocolate milk coloured head. Coffee grounds at the forefront of the nose. Feels a bit like when you've left the grounds in the coffeemaker for a few days. Big maltiness as well, slight peppery prickle and some bay leaf, but the old coffee grounds are really dominant. Full bodied palate, coffee and slight peppery flavour. Less felt bitterness than the normal Yeti initially, but somehow more elongated. The finish is epic. A very nice stout, but I feel that they've almost overdone it with the coffee.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
(650ml bottle from Systembolaget) Pours black with a frothy dark tan head and lace. Aroma of dark, fairly heavily roasted malts with a chocolately sweetness, some fairly intense brewed espresso, and a little oaky vanilla. On the palate, rich chocoloate and dark malt core with moderately high roast, some nice brewed coffee flavour complementing it on the palate. Oak and vanilla comes in from the middle, coffee roast picks up towards the finish, chocolate persisiting. Finish pretty dry, moderate roast, coffee and coffee grounds, a bit of oak. Aftertaste not super intense, lingering coffee and roast. Medium full, silghtly oily mouthfeel. This is a really nice espresso stout, balanced and pretty rich, but it doesn’t quite have the long, complex finish that the best of style have in my opinion. Still highly recommended.

4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
From notes on 3/30
On tap at Great Divide. Also, this is the nitro version. Excellent beer. Sweet cocoa flavor with lost of espresso taste. Bought a bottle to take home. My guess is I’ll like the non-nitro version even more.

4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Dark like a moonless night, a deep chocolate taste as if a machine gun of the richest cocoa was raining down upon you. And the finish, a nice shuttle spice, Like the time you almost made it to mexico but then turned back for safety at the last mile marker. Also, yetis are cool

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle @ home. Aged 2011 edition. Opaque black with a nice big brown head. Sweet and roasted aroma with chocolate, vinous raisins, oak, vanilla and coffee. Big mouth feel. Medium carbonation. Overall dry and really roasted taste. Dark fruits, dark chocolate, oak and gentle vanilla. Nice coffee bitter finish and long lasting cocoa & dark chocolate aftertaste. Slso late notes of red fruits. Espresso Flavors might have faded over the years but it’s still a perfect beet.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottled 01/07/15. Pours pitch black with a beautiful tan/brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, and a smokey oak character. Flavor is coffee up front, roasted malts, and bitter coffee finish. The oak is excellent and noticeable, but not as much in the flavor or perhaps finish as the oak aged; however, the coffee adds a brilliant element. Fantastic imperial stout.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Tasted from draft. Pours black with dark brown head. Excellent coffee aroma with some dark chocolate. Taste is similar to aroma. Big time coffee with dark chocolate and some caramel and toffee. Pretty full bodied. Not too drying on the palate. Definitely one of the best coffee stouts.
