13.60 bottle from beers of the world rochester ny. Bottled Jan 11, 2012. Pours a dark molasses with a pillowed head or lightly creamy. Big aromas of chocolate brownie, mellowed coffee, burnt caramel, smokey wood, and vanilla. The flavors are slightly downgraded with coffee and chocolate upfront. There is a slight zesty hop profile that just comes through slightly towards the end. A touch of oak and vanilla in there as well. It leaves this espresso like aftertaste not so much on the palate as it is in the nose, interesting! Medium sweet with a medium bitterness. Coffee is more rounded with the other malts and hops in this one. Was expecting a little more in the flavors but still a very great addition to the series.

Bottled. Pours pitch black with a big brown head. Smells salty roasted malt, vanilla, dark chocolate. Tastes spicy, salty roasted malt, vanilla a bit licorice, coffee bitterness with a similar finish.

As always with Yeti: pitch black with a dark, brown head.

Nose: Coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, espresso, cream, vanilla and oak.

Taste: Espresso (of course), dark chocolate, oak, roasted malt, vanilla, caramel and some orange.

Mouthfeel: Great, big, complex structure with a swetness that compensate for the bitterness in just the right way! Full body with light carbonation. Creamy... so good!

Overall - Smooth, oaky, vanilla, chocolate, creamy taste with a lot of love! GO get it!

650ml bottle. Black body with a big tan head. Roasted malt, oak, chocolate and a nice coffee flavor. Nice bitterness in the finish.

Great beer. It pours dark black with a cherry cream colored head. Chocolate and rich malt hit the senses. The flavor is even better. Rich, bitter baker’s chocolate and coffee up front, then a smooth caramel at the swallow, followed by a slightly bitter blast to finish the sip. Very good beer!

Bottle, about one year old. Pours jet black with a fine tan head. Aroma of vanilla, oak, fruitiness, toast. Sweet up front, huge body, oak and roasty bitterness, chocolate, coffee, warmth. Like a nightcap for the winter. Bring it on, spring.

A classic beer, too bad I have to drive up to MA to buy it. Layer upon layer of dark chocolate, coffee and roasted malt. Sweet and bitter, in similar proportions. Chewy, lingering, satisfying. The alcohol is boozy and warming, but not harsh at all. So freaking good.

Bomber in snifter. Beautiful black pour with a brownish red thin head with good lacing. Aroma is light coffee and dark chocolate with a taste to match. Really good one.

I love this beer. It pours dark black with a cherry cream colored head that leaves a lot of lace. Chocolate and rich malt hit the nose before you even raise the glass; itís like thereís something awesome in a nearby oven. The flavor is even better. Rich, bitter bakerís chocolate and coffee up front, then a smooth caramel at the swallow, followed by a slightly bitter blast to finish the sip. 9.5 ABV, but it isnít there in the flavor, itís hidden by all that smooth richness. Sweet beers often wear out my welcome before I finish a 22, but this one didnít. Either my taste is changing or this is just one of the best sweet beers Iíve ever had.
