COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Espresso Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout is a new addition to the Yeti clan. A generous infusion of Denver’s own Pablo’s espresso adds yet another layer of complexity to this beer, combining with the vanilla oak character, intense roasty maltiness and bold hop profile to create a whole new breed of mythical creature. It’s official, you can now have Yeti with breakfast.

Suggested food pairings: Breakfast burrito, eggs Benedict, hash browns, cheesecake, creme brulee.

22oz Bottle. The pour was a deep dark pitch black with an average (1-2 finger) medium brown frothy head that slowly receded, eventually puddling with very good sheets of streaky lacing. The aroma was robustly bold of a dark roasted malt, light resin hops and a strong leathery yeast with notes of molasses, baker’s chocolate, dark roasted coffee, a bit of oak, a touch of vanilla and a very mild alcohol tinge. The taste was lightly sweet and a tad bitter with a good malty feel and notes of bitter chocolate and molasses early on, progressing into a slightly bitterer taste with a strong espresso flavor with a mild woody alcohol finish. The flavor lingered for a good long while after the swallow, with a nice espresso mocha taste left behind to settle on the taste buds. Mouthfeel was on the high side of full in body with a dry, oily texture and a solid medium carbonation. Overall can I say "WOW", this is one tasty fulfilling brew. It possesses tons of flavor, a bold roastiness and an awesome drinkability and on top of that does a great job concealing the high ABV. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves dark beer, give this one a try it is truly exceptional...

aroma is fairly complex from coffee beans, roasted malts and wet wood. The taste isn’t as smooth as the standard Yeti, it is more harsh and sharp, but there is some vanilla and chocolate notes underneath. It is both smooth and harsh at the same time. There is also notes of figs, nuts and wood. Oh, the complexity. Sadly the sting from both the coffee and some alcohol notes wins the race, and it is not as enjoyable as the standard Yeti.

Bottle from Systembolaget Passagen shared with esp0r, edvard and Simonsen at The "Esp0r #2000 Weekend in The Woods" 2014. Black body with a big brown head. Thickbodied. Aroma of roasted malt, espresso, vanilla, oak. Complex robust coffee taste with dark chocolate, ash, subtle hops, great balanced, oak in finish together with vanilla and coffee. Great.

Fantastic, and something I need to keep in the fridge year round. It smells like oak, tastes like coffee, espresso, and a smooth porter all rolled into one. I can't drink more than 1 or 2, but those are an absolute treat. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottled on March 5, 2009. The aroma is malts, caramel, coffee, roasty. Pours black with brown frothy head, fully diminishing with excellent lacing. The taste is medium bitter. The body is full, the texture creamy, the carbonation lively and the finish bitter and long. Very Good, Damn Good!

Magnifique! Another great spin on a great beer and style. Strong roasted malt and coffee aroma. Very dark like black coffee. Hold the cream and sugar. Thick, oily and coats the mouth. Maybe a little grainy as well. Strong roasted and toasted flavors up front with a lingering bitterness and acidity from the espresso. Chocolate flavors as well. A must try.
