22oz Bottle. The pour was a deep dark pitch black with an average (1-2 finger) medium brown frothy head that slowly receded, eventually puddling with very good sheets of streaky lacing. The aroma was robustly bold of a dark roasted malt, light resin hops and a strong leathery yeast with notes of molasses, bakerís chocolate, dark roasted coffee, a bit of oak, a touch of vanilla and a very mild alcohol tinge. The taste was lightly sweet and a tad bitter with a good malty feel and notes of bitter chocolate and molasses early on, progressing into a slightly bitterer taste with a strong espresso flavor with a mild woody alcohol finish. The flavor lingered for a good long while after the swallow, with a nice espresso mocha taste left behind to settle on the taste buds. Mouthfeel was on the high side of full in body with a dry, oily texture and a solid medium carbonation. Overall can I say "WOW", this is one tasty fulfilling brew. It possesses tons of flavor, a bold roastiness and an awesome drinkability and on top of that does a great job concealing the high ABV. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves dark beer, give this one a try it is truly exceptional...

Bomber to a pint while watching the World Cup 2014. Viscous black pour with thin tan head but ample lacing. Espresso roast coffee, dark chocolate, toasted grain and toffee notes. Multilayered complex flavor profile, balanced, huge coffee presence, dry butter finish... One of the best...

From a bottle in my cellar. Pours black with a mocha head. Aroma of dark roast malt, espresso, chocolate. The flavor is complex and combines all the aromas in a play of flavors. Rich, full bodied and creamy.

On tap at Lunar Brewing Co. for just a short time, dispensed to a snifter with a black/brown hue, good persistence to the healthy layer of brownish tan head froth, and wavy/web-like cling to the lacing. The nose was quite roasted, with espresso, malt creaminess, light barrel induced vanilla, and light wood & char. Full bodied, with a noticeable, earthy hop bitterness & tanniny bite, continued roastiness, and a touch of cocoa on the back. The finish was dry, woody, dusty, and somewhat astringently abrupt, but my palate didnít necessarily mind the abuse.

Jeez that incredible aroma of espresso you get. Absolutely delectable taste of coffee, dark malts, oak and a bit of roasted malt. Bitterness to the aftertaste is tough but really good and enjoyable. Fills the mouth very well and forever. I have only one word for this beer: Enjoyment! Follow me @ Kung av Ųl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

One of my favorites. Very smooth and drinkable. Coffee, chocolate, vanilla and molasses notes are very noticeable.

650ml bottle. Pours very dark brown, with a brown head. Roasted, complex aroma, coffee beans, chocolate, oak, vanilla, ashes, hops. Off-dry, full bodied, high bitterness, creamy CO2, Rich, complex taste, roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, oak, hops. The coffee lends a far bit of acidity, leaving the beer slightly harsh. Impressive, nevertheless. (2014-06-15)

UPDATED: JUN 12, 2014 On tap, poured into a 6 oz imperial pint-style glass. The aroma is very rich and sweet notes of caramel, vanilla, chocolate nibs, nuts, and oak. Espresso is noticeably missing from this profile. It pours a pitch black color with a dark brown bubbly head which doesnít retain well - only a medium light ring remains - but leaves lots of messy lace. Itís highly bitter, with a medium malty sweet undertone. The beer is a full, rich, malty body with a thick, chewy texture and a good amount of soft carbonation. The espresso is very strong at the finish with some nuttiness, figs, and chocolate, as well as a hint of citrus peel. The strong espresso note sticks around in the aftertaste.

Draft at Ale House. Pours nearly black with a beige head. Aroma of dark coffee, vanilla. Taste follows nose, along with licorice. Oak in the finish is really nice.

08.06.2014, 0,65l bottle @ home, courtesy of Cunningham:
Nice dark brown creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet roasted, espresso, vanilla, dark sugar, oak, dark malts, hay, caramel, milk chocolate, hops, hints of ashes and licorice. Taste is dry and sour-ish roasted, sour espresso, burnt grain, burnt caramel, hops, oak, hay, ashes, cocoa, grass, vanilla, dark malts. Longlasting bitterness, dry mouthfeel. Nice, but as usual with most Yetis, itís just too burnt and ashy.
