22oz Bottle. The pour was a deep dark pitch black with an average (1-2 finger) medium brown frothy head that slowly receded, eventually puddling with very good sheets of streaky lacing. The aroma was robustly bold of a dark roasted malt, light resin hops and a strong leathery yeast with notes of molasses, baker’s chocolate, dark roasted coffee, a bit of oak, a touch of vanilla and a very mild alcohol tinge. The taste was lightly sweet and a tad bitter with a good malty feel and notes of bitter chocolate and molasses early on, progressing into a slightly bitterer taste with a strong espresso flavor with a mild woody alcohol finish. The flavor lingered for a good long while after the swallow, with a nice espresso mocha taste left behind to settle on the taste buds. Mouthfeel was on the high side of full in body with a dry, oily texture and a solid medium carbonation. Overall can I say "WOW", this is one tasty fulfilling brew. It possesses tons of flavor, a bold roastiness and an awesome drinkability and on top of that does a great job concealing the high ABV. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves dark beer, give this one a try it is truly exceptional...

Had this one after Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout - found them quite similar. I was expecting a bit more coffee here, but other than that, it was an excellent imperial stout.

Yup, I believe....poured from the bottle. Thick soapy head lingers and clings. Big nose full of chocolate caramel and coffee. Call me nuts, but I find a red licorice in there somewhere. First bite is smooth creamy and sweet. The palate follows the nose. The finish is pleasing. Delicious. Yum

(Great Divide Yeti Imperial Stout - Espresso Oak Aged ) Bottle 650 ml, acquired through a trade, can’t remember with who, thanks anyway! BB February ’15, served into a snifter, ABV 9.5% Pours a thick, black coloured beer, with a tall and thick dark brown head, with very good retention, leaving heavy lacing on the glass as it collapses. Aroma of vanilla, light alcohol, plenty of coffee, wood, roasted malts as it warms up. Intense taste with vanilla, less coffee than the aroma but still there, lots of chocolate now, light roasted malts, hints of the alcohol, mocha. Thick body with soft carbonation. Excellent.

Bottle. Black with a dark brown top. Oak aged, espresso, chocolate malty nose. Pretty much what the label promises. Full bodied, smooth soft, suitably sweet, finishing with a clean palate. A bit drying though, choco powdery. Very nice drink allinall.
