3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a clear, copper color with a thick, white head. Strong, citrus aroma with a nice, wet hoppy finish. Grassy notes with a thick, fresh hop presence. Dry finish. Pretty darn good balance. Really, really good.

"i was hoping for great, and got very good. no complaints, my expectations for GD have become so high itís hard to measure up. this has a nice zesty, spicy, grassy and citrus hop bitterness which is very nice in the flavor and nose. a little light bodied, but fitting for the style. not a ton of malt presence. slightly darker than usual for the style. nice beer. one of the better pales iíve had."

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Served on-tap at Alís of Hampden into a standard pint.
A - Pours a pale copper with no head whatsoever leaving no lacing at all. It appeared to be served far too cold.
S - Hints of piney hops and faint citrus fruits but both were fairly muted. Lots of sweetness from the roasted caramel malts.
T - Similar to the nose. Muted flavors of citrus fruits and piney hops. Strong roasted caramel malts that overpower nearly all other flavors. Is this one a little past its prime? Looks like it. It is a borderline malt bomb at this point in time.
M - Light body and flavor with moderate carbonation. Slight hop bitterness on the finish with more and more malt coming thru as it warms.
D - One of these was enough for me. It seemed to be a little bit old. I think I might revisit this one down the line when I know I can guarantee the freshness.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from a bomber. Clean orange color in glass. Smell is green, northwest hops. Wet, piny hops upfront. Grassy, apricot middle. Slight bitterness at the end. Everything felt a little rounded.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Fresh, dank, catty hop aroma coming out of the bottle. Slightly hazy golden yellow with an enthusiastic white head. I was expecting a really hoppy, bitter flavor, but itís actually quite restrained. Seems to be more kettle hops than aromatic, however Iím drinking this almost 1 month past the best by date, so that might be having an effect. Good caramel sweetness helps balance it out, but itís maybe a bit too sweet. Hops are earthy and slightly catty resolving to some piney notes. I thought this was an IPA, but I now see itís labeled only a PA, so this is actually quite to style. Enjoyable and nicely hopped for a PA. It would be interesting to see what this is like kicked up to an IPA though.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
BBD of 12/30/13. Pours a light copper with a nice head that laces well. Mild nose of pine hops with a citrus background. Light medium body with normal carbonation. Nice balanced hop flavor with grapefruit at the front while the pine claims the back end. Finishes clean with a slight residual bitterness of mostly grapefruit and then followed by pine. A sound beer that is well suited for those that desire a not too hoppy brew.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Serving type: 22 oz bottle
A: pours a copper orange color with a decent amount of head. Great lacing too!
S: grassy and citrus notes, along with some pine. Smells really inviting as it should being a fresh hop ale.
T: it is a very clean tasting beer, that finishes smooth. There is no resiny aftertaste. It has a pleasant fresh grass and citrus flavor profile, with a slight malt backbone.
O: a very fresh tasting pale ale that I would buy again!
