4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle. 31st of January 1.37PM 2007 - the very last day of the year, I got the beer of the year. Spicy and herbal nose far from the standard sweet American hop aroma. Grapefruit rind. Dry flavor with hints of caramel and a long bitter finish layered with hoppy goodness. Extra props in the ’overall’ category for surviving so well in the bottle for three months. One of my favorite breweries, Great Divide, has done it for me again.

22oz bottle 4/24/13 (Binny’s Naperville)-48° in Shaker-Pours a clear light amber with a big loose white head. Aroma of hops and more hops. Taste of hops, malt, and pine. This medium bodied brew is a bit malty but still well balanced. Nice brew.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bomber bottled on 10/5, consumed 3/29. Would love to try one fresh. Aroma was grass, lemon, grapefruit and bread. Flavor was very similar but completely muted because of the age. Almost no carbonation. I’ll rate this again if/when I get a fresher example

2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Aroma of light hops and cardboard, taste is bread like and mildly bitter. There is a sour rough feeling across the palate. The appearance was an amber color that left oil on the glass. I’m guessing this one was oxidized a little or something. An overall muted and off putting experience. Unfortunately it’s the only one I have.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very good hop aroma and taste apparently because they use wet hops. Great pale ale. Had a bomber with Vince while at Cloudland Canyon Grill.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Grassy flavor. I got this is in February so it was probably a little past peak consumption time. A little flat on flavor, not as hoppy as I would expect
