mephisto (1083), Taiwan Feb 6, 2008 a beautifully done pale ale: not overwhelming like other great divides, but a solid aromatic brew that exudes wonderful tone of hops. clear orage color with beige head, the tense nose of dry hops foretells the focus of what is to come: a hedonic flavor of well balanced hops and malt. very enjoyable.
johntreeter (53), Greenwood, Indiana, USA Jul 1, 2008 22oz. bomber at Table Rock. Bought last two bottles in store on sale, so they were a little old I’ll re-rate this fall. Slightly hazy amber copper color with thin off white head that left good lacing. Freshly opened bag of hops aroma. Light flavor of green and citrus hop with light balancing malt inthe background. Light body, soft carb., and dry texture and feel. A really good beer with rough edges that would probably be better in season. Marsiblursi (1248), Göteborg, Sweden Jun 20, 2008 (Bottle) Pours an amber colour with an off-white head. The aroma is mild hoppy and toasted malty with tones of flowers, mild pine, tea, apricot and light caramel. The flavour is medium hoppy and light to medium malty with tones of tea, flowers, mild pine some toast and caramel. Citric bitter with a medium resiny afterbitternesss. The mouthfeel is smooth and dry. Medium bodied. Taverner (404), San Ramon, California, USA Jun 17, 2008 Upon opening, the aroma is full of citrusey hops. Pours amber with some white head. Fairly carbonated. First notes to hit your tongue are a refreshing citrus flavor followed by a nice, balanced bitterness. Very dry and refreshing. austone (242), Pori, Finland Jun 14, 2008 Amber w&/ small pale head. Caramel malty nose, citric fruity hops. Same goes for flavor, with little pine on the side. Nicely bitter finish. Medium bodied, smoothly carbonated palate. I guess it’d be better, like the name says, fresh. mjs (378), Finland Jun 3, 2008 (Bottle at Pikkulintu on 2008-05-30) Clear. Amber colour. Medium-sized white dense head. Fruity hoppy nose. Dry and full palate with some fizziness. Hops and bread in taste.
