COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewing with fresh hops is a big endeavor, requiring four to five times the hop volume compared to using pelletized hops. Although the process is complex, it brings impressive results: Fresh Hop is an American-style pale ale with moderate hop bitterness marked by a unique and intensely grassy hop flavor and aroma. Fresh Hop is a superbly refreshing, medium bodied, light-copper colored pale ale weighing in at 55 IBUs and 6.1% ABV.

Tap at Pony Bar. Pours a medium amber with a moderate white head. Big hop nose, lots of grass and florals. First flavor is honey and brown sugar, then more bitterness from the hops. Has a nice, bitter bite to it. Really nice.

bottle from Bierzwerg. clear golden yellow, large white head. Lovely hoppy nose, grassy and citrussy. Medium-bodied, solid malty base with loadas and loads of green hops, resiny, grassy and citrussy. Not bitter but still immensely hoppy. A delicious beer.

I don’t give a crap who you are, you must admit that GD makes great beers. This one is no exception. I like my hops like I like my poontang, namely fresh, wet, and aromatic, and this one fits the bill nicely. The pour is dark straw with 2-finger off-white head and those awesome GD floaties. Aroma is huge wet hops and citrus, honeydew, mango, pineapple. The flavor is hoppy, fruity, caramel malty. Pretty dense palate for an APA, and a crisp, very smooth finish with great complexity and balance. This, in my opinion, is the new benchmark for APAs.

Bomber. Poured crystal-clear lighter orange with dense, easily-resuscitated whitish head. The aroma picked up fresh pine, spicy earth, grassy, and citrus hops over sweeter caramel malt and a touch of vanilla.. excellent balance to it. The flavor found similar.. mostly sweet caramel and a pinch of honey at the core.. fresh, green, tasty bitterness around (pine, citrus, and floral notes led).. finished bitter with some well-balanced sweetness. Excellent brew!
