4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Amazing beer! Pours the same copper color with a nice thick fluffy head. Great aromas with a nice fresh, green, resin hop smell...very, very pleasing. The taste is just delicious, with that amazing fresh taste of hops...with the green aspect to it, a little grassy, full of hop resins, citrusy, and sweet. Even though I wish the IBU’s were 15-20 higher, it really works perfect with this lighter malty sweetness. It is hands down the best APA I’ve had to date. I love that fresh harvest element

Tap @ Beer Temple
Pours a slightly hazy orange body with a medium fluffy head. Aroma is incredibly fresh. Loads of flowery hops. Light bodied yet intense.
Taste of fresh citrus hops, grassy, medium bitterness, very clean and lively. Possibly best regular pale ale ever.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a slightly hazy sediment laden gold with a tall frothy white head. Nice sweetly piney hop aroma. Intensely sweet orange/fruity flavor equally matched by the sizable bitter hop finish. The IPA of Pale Ales for sure. The finish has a nice lingering quality that really emphasizes the next sip.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours copper with light thinish head. Nose is flowery with a slight piney freshness. The hops in this beer remind me more of the fresh hop leaf rather than hop pellets. Body is medium with gentle finish. Not sure what I expected with this beer. Definitely not like an IPA. More of a clean earthy beer.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pine and citrus aroma. Small head, with beautiful lacing. Flavor is nice refreshing hoppiness, perfect with spicy molé. Pretty tasty APA (or IPA?), another good one from great divide . . .

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a crystal clear burned orange with a big soapy white head that laces as it dies. Smells of a minor blast of fresh hops(ha) and almost a little sweet malt. Taste is big juicy hops, grapefruit rind, bittering finish but all of this is doesnt linger. A miniscule amount of malt but nothing that can balance the hops. Crisp in the mouth with good carbonation. Very drinkable. An awesome pale ale from GD.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This simple beer deserves no more than a simple review. Yawn. No matter how difficult the brewing process is, and how formidable of an enterprise it was to acquire the ingredients, if your beer is bland you still have a problem. My feeling about Fresh Hop is that Great Divide may have focused too much on a gimmicky and marketable procedure than on creating a genuinely good beer. The appearance is nothing to complain about, a pleasing deep orange body topped of a frothy white head. The true problems begin at the nose: an easy hop aroma, the classic grapefruit and slightly floral tingle. It’s great for your bathroom, but I enjoy discovering some complexity in my beer. The flavor takes you no further, with only the slightest caramel malts giving any sort of balance on the palate. Drinkable and decent for conversation, but there’s really nothing to see here.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Nice, fairly clear deep copper caramel-like color, topped with a dense, foamy, lasting off-white head. Nose is just heaven, intense floral, grassy, citrusy hop aroma. Enough malty backbone to balance. Smooth and ever so slightly chewy mouthfeel with soft, moderate carbonation. Wonderful hop flavor – citrusy grapefruit. Nice bitter finish. Nicely done pale ale, wish I could drink this year round.
