COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewing with fresh hops is a big endeavor, requiring four to five times the hop volume compared to using pelletized hops. Although the process is complex, it brings impressive results: Fresh Hop is an American-style pale ale with moderate hop bitterness marked by a unique and intensely grassy hop flavor and aroma. Fresh Hop is a superbly refreshing, medium bodied, light-copper colored pale ale weighing in at 55 IBUs and 6.1% ABV.

Pours a golden amber with tan head. Aromas of grassy citrus notes with very slight malty sweetness. A very balanced hop malt flavor. Up front grassy notes with slight piney hop bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours copper with a small head and good lacing. Aroma is hops. The taste is an excellent blend of hops and grapefruit. Almost like an IPA. I really enjoyed this one.

Pours a cloudy golden orange. Aromas of malt, grass, citrus, slight caramel and a touch of alcohol. Initial taste is malty with a slight bitterness. A tad spicy with a nice grassy flavor. Has a smooth piney/citrusy bitterness to it that hangs around. Mouthfeel is nice, smooth and a tad bitter. Overall a solid pale.

Grassy flavor. I got this is in February so it was probably a little past peak consumption time. A little flat on flavor, not as hoppy as I would expect ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This beer drinks damn good. The Aroma is hard to pick up but hints of citrus. Appearance is pale amber. Taste is very bitter with very fresh citrusy taste. Palate is very creamy.

Bottle. Pours a clear, golden liquid with a fairly large, off-white head. Aroma is fresh and fruity with a nice hop character and a tiny malt sweetness. Taste is a bit sweet with some hop fruitiness and a rather sharp bitterness. Fresh and very drinkable.

Pours a deep golden/amber color with a big off-white head. The aroma is dominated by piney and citris notes with a little malt trying to escape. The flavor is hoppy and bitter throughout. Not as grassy as I expected, more citrisy. Just enough malt backbone to balance the beer. Not as good as Sierra Nevada Harvest but a nice, drinkable beer.

Reddish copper color with a good off white head. The nose was a mix of grass and citrus, it smells good,a relaxing smell. The taste is hoppy but not to hoppy.

Clear copper appearance with white head. Stong American hop aroma with a slightly grassy smell. Flavor mostly about the hops with the grassiness appearing here as well. Decent malt. Overall nice, but grassiness clearly detracts. Too big for a Pale Ale, should be an IPA
