Brewing with fresh hops is a big endeavor, requiring four to five times the hop volume compared to using pelletized hops. Although the process is complex, it brings impressive results: Fresh Hop is an American-style pale ale with moderate hop bitterness marked by a unique and intensely grassy hop flavor and aroma. Fresh Hop is a superbly refreshing, medium bodied, light-copper colored pale ale weighing in at 55 IBUs and 6.1% ABV.

Copper color with a long lasting one-finger head and nice lacing. Citrusy and floral hop aroma. Upfront the taste is biscuity malt then some powerful citrus flavor. Medium bodied.

Pours a deep copper color with white head. Aroma is a little bit grassy and hops and a little malt. Taste is a little bit hoppy but really just kind of the standard pale ale. I expected more. It's good but nothing spectacular. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

What is the appeal of "fresh Hops" I have not found it yet. Am I just old and stuck in my old-school ways? I think itís a fad that needs to end. Enough for the soap box. This beer has a great look. Itís golden and the white head just rocks the glass and stays. On the nose Iím getting some malt sweetness and some citrus hops and some grassyness. but it is nothing all that special. Medium body with a drying bitter finish. Now, for the important part, Iím getting bitter and grass in the taste. The malt really is not coming through for me. This is an average, at best, APA.

Orange in color, poor head retention. Herbal/citrus american hops aroma - the name speaks for itself. Defintely on the bitter side although not overwhelming. Good balance of hops VS malts."Very appetizing in its bouquet."

Big fresh hop aroma presenting grassy and hay-like notes. Some slight malt sweetness creeps in as well. Appearance is copper-gold color with a barely off-white head with decent retention. Slightly hazy and low carbonation. Taste big bitterness, medium sweetness and some nice fruity esters noticeable on tasting more that in aroma only. Medium body, kind of a sticky/oily texture, medium carbonation. Bitter attack, good malt backbone in middle and a long dry finish. Iíve had many fresh hop beers, IPAís being the fave, but this is a very enjoyable beer that I wouldnít hesitate to have again, but might pick something in a slightly lower price range that has reasonably similar good beerness to offer.

Beautiful head and coppery color. Aroma is very hoppy, very much northwestern. Hints of crystal malts. Flavor is fab. Plenty of hop flavor - grassy and citrusy - without being very bitter at all decent malt balance. Quite good, and felt pretty fresh to me. All in all, not terribly complex, but delicious and adequately named

Pours a clear amber color with a big white head and decent lacing. Aroma of caramel, citrusy fruits and grassy hops. Taste is of grassy hops, caramel malts, grapefruit citrus and pine. Seems well balanced. Medium bodied.

Bottle to shaker (pounder). Pours out a gold-amber colour with a very nice foamy white head and excellent lacing. It is made from freshly harvested hops and only available about 3 months out of the year. Its nose is caramel and earth with light pine and definite hop elements. Taste is sweet, appealing, and hoppy with a caramel backdrop. Finish is bitter and sweet with caramel notes and a pleasant grass element. Complex and very flavorful

Pours a murky Copper/Orange Colour with descent head into a Shaker Glass. The Aroma is of Freshly Mowed Grass with loads of Pine Needles. The mouthfeel is full bodied wow and a nice wallop of heft in the aftertaste of sugar and malt. This is very refreshing with the characteristic citrus notes. Some Lacing on the glass is visible. Kudos to the brewmaster in Denver for this Gem. Enjoy!

Light color on pour. Great hops aroma right from the start. Very tame flavor but still a nice amount of bittnerness. Really nice!! Glad I have a 22oz bottle!
