COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewing with fresh hops is a big endeavor, requiring four to five times the hop volume compared to using pelletized hops. Although the process is complex, it brings impressive results: Fresh Hop is an American-style pale ale with moderate hop bitterness marked by a unique and intensely grassy hop flavor and aroma. Fresh Hop is a superbly refreshing, medium bodied, light-copper colored pale ale weighing in at 55 IBUs and 6.1% ABV.

Light color on pour. Great hops aroma right from the start. Very tame flavor but still a nice amount of bittnerness. Really nice!! Glad I have a 22oz bottle!

Bottled in Sept. 2011, drank in Mar. 2012; could attribute to mild flavors S: gold color, slight haze, solid collar, thick lacing A: very light smell, not much going on, but there is a faint sweetness, kind of like a creamy butterscotch T: very mild bitterness, slightly sweet at the beginning, dries out at the end, medium finish O: this is a good beer, but not a lot going on. I'm afraid the "fresh" hops are no longer fresh ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice caramel color and lacing. Mild grassy aroma. Tastes a little sweet, grassy with a little pine coming through. Moderate bitterness and a dry finish. Less bitter than an ipa but different for a pale ale.

Dark gold. Nose is small with a hint of stone fruit and grass. Great mouthfeel. Finish is singing to me. The hops are crisp and well defined. Clean grass and underripe peaches. Very nice. ---That dog will hunt!

Smells of crisp citrus, nice hops, then thick and syrupy grapefruit. Pours an orangey copper color with big white head and floaters in the column. Tastes of green plant like hops and balanced out by malt presence. Nasal Hops.

Great grassy fresh hop aroma. Moderate bitterness. Perfect balance of maltiness and hoppyness to create a dangerously drinkable beer.

22 oz bomber. Pours deep gold. Aroma is caramel and bready, with citrus and floral notes. I taste sweet caramel malts and bitter resinous hops. Mouthfeel is a bit thick and sticky.

Poured deep gold & coppery with a strong, sustained head. Nose of grapefruit and fresh cut grass. Initial taste of wood, pine & grapefuit finishing with a alcohol heavy, tangy warming feel. This beer is anything but subtle. Frankly, I’m surprised the IBU’s & alcohol content aren’t higher. I love it, nevertheless.

Pours a rich amber color. Aroma is malty with mild hops. Flavor is intially bitter with a mild hop and malt finish. A nice pale ale.
