Taverner (441), San Ramon, California, USA Jun 17, 2008 Upon opening, the aroma is full of citrusey hops. Pours amber with some white head. Fairly carbonated. First notes to hit your tongue are a refreshing citrus flavor followed by a nice, balanced bitterness. Very dry and refreshing.
blipp (724), Grand Island, New York, USA Sep 4, 2008 Bottle. Pours clear amber with a white head. Grassy and floral aroma with a nice caramel malt balance. The flavor is floral, grassy, and herbal, and again very well balanced. Not bad. BMan1113VR (796), Los Angeles (and Dallas, TX), California, USA Aug 31, 2008 2007 Bottle. Pours with a largish, slightly yellow, rocky white head that leaves lots of lacing. Ever so slightly hazed amber body. Tangy orange-citrus hops on the nose with a touch of cannabis. Taste is m alty with some light, but dank, chewy hops rounding out the finish (but bitterness is very moderate). Full, slightly syrupy mouthfeel. tarjei (1168), Bryne, Norway Aug 29, 2008 65 cl bottle. Hopheads´ tasting 22. august. Clear amber color, fine white head. Aroma is hops. Flavor is hoppy and malty. Very fine bitterness. I like this one! hop_lover (139), Corpus Christi, Texas, USA Aug 24, 2008 Wow! ....Wow! The aroma is remenicent fresh sweet lemons. This amazing brew pours a wonderful hazy golden color with a creamy light tan head that lasts till the fat lady sings. The head leaves a delicate beautiful lace. The flavor is (like the Commercial Description) a pleasant grassiness Iv’e never tasted in a beer before...WOW! It’s great! Some hop spiciness and citrus notes... balanced well with a little sweetness from the pale malts. Just the right bitterness.... and it lingers well. And oh so smooth. It is now officially my favorite pale ale. Oh it’s great. I wish this would never end. But it has to. Thank you Great Divide for Fresh Hop Plae Ale. The Lord bless the hop harvest. matt7215 (564), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada Aug 24, 2008 bomber from premier gourmet. pours clear bright golden orange with a tight white head that lasts and laces. aromas are all about the hops. grassy, citrus, grapefruit. the flavours are similar with a long dry finish. i love the dryness in this one. it makes the difference from what would have been a mediocure brew. good stuff!!
