Brewing with fresh hops is a big endeavor, requiring four to five times the hop volume compared to using pelletized hops. Although the process is complex, it brings impressive results: Fresh Hop is an American-style pale ale with moderate hop bitterness marked by a unique and intensely grassy hop flavor and aroma. Fresh Hop is a superbly refreshing, medium bodied, light-copper colored pale ale weighing in at 55 IBUs and 6.1% ABV.

Tap @ Beer Temple Pours a slightly hazy orange body with a medium fluffy head. Aroma is incredibly fresh. Loads of flowery hops. Light bodied yet intense. Taste of fresh citrus hops, grassy, medium bitterness, very clean and lively. Possibly best regular pale ale ever.

phenomenal rich fluffy cream-colored head, glowing light-copper color. huge grassy, green-citrus, and slight caramel aromas. a touch of earth in the grass. tight and sharp hop bite up front, but the bitterness fades so smoothly and perfectly, leaving a touch of lingering grass, and herbal-citrus essence. good medium mouthfeel, with plenty of carbonation to keep the palate light. Exceedingly drinkable.

Palest pale hue, nearly nothingness, with a slim glimmer of a head, then none. Sad... Aroma is corny, thin, blah...very macro-feeling... Taste: Wetness, slight malt, big vegetal, corn reigns high, ...but nothing, really, no flavor to speak of...bleh... Light bodied, little mouthfeel/texture, slightly alcoholic, no finish to brag about, really, just a Polish malt likka...nothiní but, yíall! If anyone can prove me wrong, I urge them to try!

Beer pours nice copper color with a totally retained off white head. There will be copious lacing with this one. Aroma is very hoppy, with notes of wet juicy pine. The flavor is hop heaven. Tons of wet juicy hop cones being squezzed into the imbibers mouth. If you donít like hops, please donít rate this. As for me, I canít thank Aubrey enough for this hop juggernaught. Oh yeah, the ABV is moderate enough to drink the bomber with no consequences.

Its awesome. Somewhere between gold and amber with a white lacey head. I have a hard time calling this one a regular PA as its way hoppier than most IPAís Iíve had. Flavor is very similar to their Hercules double IPA but lighter. To be honest though, at $6.99 a 22oz Iíd buy the Hercules or Old Ruffian first. If it were cheaper in a 6-pack it would be a regular buy.

Poured deep gold & coppery with a strong, sustained head. Nose of grapefruit and fresh cut grass. Initial taste of wood, pine & grapefuit finishing with a alcohol heavy, tangy warming feel. This beer is anything but subtle. Frankly, Iím surprised the IBUís & alcohol content arenít higher. I love it, nevertheless.

Recíd in trade with Dansting. Thanks!! Pours out a dark amber color with a nice thick creamy one finger head. Aroma is clearly pine and citrus with an interesting caramel-like malt jumping in. Mouthfeel was incredibly smooth, rich and inviting. Flavors were bright, clean hops (grapefruity and piney), a bready malt profile with enough sweetness to really balance out the refined hoppiness of the beer. Great Divide continues to impress me with their ability to make excellent beers with little to no faults. SNPA has definite competition with this great beer. And it is great.
