Ruby pour with a huge tan head. Fruity aroma with a lot of yeast. Full bodied. Mouthfeel is thick and heavy. Flavor is dark fruits, raisin, banana, caramel, plum, sugar. Lingering dark fruit finish. Doesn’t seem to have the 11%abv from the description. A bit sweeter than I would like and the flavors were almost there but not quite. Good but not great.

Deep brown amber with minimal head. Aroma yeast, brown sugar, alcohol. Full bodied. A bit syrupy. Flavors malt, sweet, bourbon. More like a barleywine maybe than a Belgian. It’s good but undistinguished.

Draft at Churchkey, courtesy of Travis and crew - thanks! A decent enough scotch ale-like beer with a bit of spice and a flavor of creme brulee.

On tap; pour is dark amber with a beige head. This brew is, quote and quote,"a sticky malty mess". and I concur. caramel, toffee, dates, dark cherries, chocolate. Oh. And its about 5% Belgian. Meg.

Rusty, orange-brown, clear beer with a substantial tan head. Good bomber with a foil neck and cool label. Sharp, fruity aroma that reminds me a bit of some kind of baked pie filling - sort of a cherry/mincemeat/figgy kind of affair. The mouthfeel was a bit fluffy - substantial, but seemingly low density. Edgy at first, yeast is not very Belgian-like, a little candied, a little cocoa, a bit of wood, a bit of chalk, plums, and an alcohol sting at the end. Reminds me a bit of Scottish ale. Warms the esophagus. A beer for a cool evening. Market Square Liquors, Timberlane.

Bomber pours clear deep garnet with slight deep purple hue and semi loose tan head. The aroma is pretty rich with yeasty spices mixing with ripe cherries, ripe red apples, spicy maple and molasses. The taste is pretty darn smooth softly bringing up bold notes of molasses soaked ripe cherries and red apples as well as a modest level of spicy yeastiness. By midway a mix of dates, plums, sweet sugary pears and a touch of pepperiness join in and slide this thing into the finish. Real tasty stuff.

On tap at the AZ Strong Beer Fest, February 2011. Pours a clear reddish brown with a thin beige head. The nose is caramel, spicy yeast, dark fruit, rock candy. The taste is toffee, overripe fruit, dates, caramel malt and alcohol. Medium mouthfeel. Too sweet.

A really nice beer. Solid. Belgian yeast and candi sugar dominate. Alcohol takes a back seat. Pours a nice dark orange color as well.

Malty and sweet. Found it to be just another Belgian. Can’t hate on 12% though.

22oz bottle. Poured a deep amber color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of dark fruits, some roast, bready, and some earthy/woodiness. Tastes of dark fruits, lighter spiciness, chocolate, and bananas. Alcohol content overall well hidden.
