3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Airlifter (118) - Shawnee, Kansas, USA - AUG 1, 2009
Pours a clear golden yellow with nice amount of almost white head. Aroma is sweet and malty with a hint of banana. Flavor is sweet and just a little spicy. Some earthiness in the finish but overall a bit watery. Not bad.

UPDATED: JAN 27, 2012 Spicey, smooth, golden ale that’s crisp and hoppy. I would buy it again, not the best but not the worst. Gets tiring towards the end. Similar to the sierra nevada torpedo.

22 oz bottle. Not on a par with some other Great Divide offerings but still very drinkable. Not going into the rotation.

UPDATED: MAR 4, 2012 Pours golden blonde with very little head. Not a lot on the nose...but what is there is good. Belgian yeast and wheat. Tastes good...got some bread in the aftertaste...tiny bit of citrus. Not bad at all.

Hades is a great example of Belgian. Highly respect Great Divide. Solid ale with a crisp, clean finish.

12oz bottle. Not my favorite from Great Divide, but a notable attempt. I’ve never had a "Belgian Ale" like this before. Pours clear and medium yellow. Fairly well balanced, a little more hops than malt. I don’t taste the "spicy" flavor, but it is more complex than many. Would go great with food, I think.
1.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 AwYeh (102) - Canton, Ohio, USA - JAN 3, 2011
Poured a clear yellow with minimal head. Aroma was faint, of Belgian yeast and a bit of sweetness; faint malt element was present, almost like corn. Taste was slightly yeasty, with an indistinguishable sweetness; not very pleasant. Body was thin with medium carbonation; not crisp as advertised and with a bad aftertaste, almost soapy (soap was not used on glass). Reminded me of an American Pale Lager; a friend I shared my bottle with felt the same way. I ended up happy that I split the 12 oz.

Bottle. Pours a yellow straw color with a quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is yeast, spice, and some hops. Taste is sweet with a slight yeast character coming through. A slight sourness as well. Medium body with an oily texture. This was alright.

12 oz bottle poured into my tulip glass. Golden amber with a high pillowy head. Aromas of Belgium yeast and the typical banana and spices. Tastes of subtle spices with a hint of roasted malt sweetness. A good solid offering but not in the same class as the Yeti.
