12/30/11 On tap at the Great Divide tasting room in Denver. Solid beer with some citrusy fruit taste. Hop finish leaves a nice spicy taste in your mouth. Great summer beer

Tasty strong golden ale. Can't rate it at the top, but at no fault of the beer, I'm just not interested in golden ales.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draft at the brewery. Pours clear amber gold with a thin white head. Tastes musky, like lemony citrus, coriander, and booze. Medium body and low carbonation. Smells like wheat, grains, lavender, and light yeast.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap at the brewery. Pours clear, bright gold with fizzy white head. Aroma is cereal and biscuit malts, floral and grassy notes, Belgian yeast, and some orange peel. Flavor is chewy malt base with light floral hop notes, Belgian yeast backbone, and light fruit esters; dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Odd but I like it. Hades is a Belgian Ale that doesn’t seem to want to commit to one particular style, and that’s okay by me. It’s hoppy, yeasty, malty, earthy, and sour. All of the aforementioned flavors are big when they reach their turn. The flavor transcends styles, really. Some will like that about Hades and others will be frustrated by it. For me, this beer works well alongside some flavorful cheeses and bread.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(Backlog) On tap. The look is clear, thin off white head, and golden in color. The smell is spiced, yeasty, fruit, floral hops, and ok. The taste yeast, sweeter, spice, more fruit, and ok.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
At the brewery: Pours clear golden with a white head. I don’t know, but it seemed too clear. Aroma is light Belgian yeast, with some malt, a bit of fruit, and a tad of spice. Taste is somewhat spicy. Kind of tastes like a blonde ale with Belgian flavor rather than a Belgian ale per se. Not that great. A bit underwhelming.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 7/20
Golden appearance. Has a champagne like mouth feel. Spicey taste. Not really a good Belgian but passable. If it comes in the mix 12 pack it is drinkable given the other 3 brews it comes with are probably off the charts good!

The is a good Belgian. I'm not getting the spice as much as the fruity, malty sweetness.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This is a pretty decent belgian style beer. The spicyness is apparent, has some citrus with a nice dry finish.

2.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very clear golden. Almost as thing looking as the nomad pils. Flavor is slight licorice/anice and generic ale flavor. Not too exciting.
