12/30/11 On tap at the Great Divide tasting room in Denver. Solid beer with some citrusy fruit taste. Hop finish leaves a nice spicy taste in your mouth. Great summer beer

Draught at the brewery. Hazy white yellow, tart citrus aroma. Taste very much lemon and orange, even banana in the finish.

Spicy belgian ale, it isnít too bad except for its cloying sweetness that I donít think should occur in a beer of this abv.

33cl bottle at delirium cafť, brussels. I think BBD was 2010, so... Dark golden color with thin head. Carbonation is ok. Low bitterness. Aroma high on malt and cereal. I think itís too aged...

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle pours clear gold with thin white head. Typical belgian yeast aroma - bread, cloves, lemon, pepper, melons. Moderate bitterness, light sweetness. Crisp, light body. Nice refreshing beer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A - Pours a cloudy washed out golden pale. Nice short white head that forms a collar around wispy bubbles.
S - Apples, banana, yeast, sweet grain, floral spice, clove, sweet tarts, some funky sourness.
T - Grainy yeast with hints of spice, lemon, honey, and ginger. The hops come out towards the end along with the fizzy carbonation and floral spice. It finishes with a crispy sweetness thatís semi dry.
M - Aggressive carbonation but also a smooth character.
This one is a fruit forward BSPA. It blends nicely with the sweet malt. I liked it more with every sip. Great Divide has done it again.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a clear honey color with no head, some lacing. Aroma is typical Belgian yeast, a macerated dried apricot bread quality. The alcohol is covered up well. Despite the lack of head there is a sharp carbonation feel. Taste is of mild unripe grapes with store bought crustless wheat bread rolled in a ball, kind of blah but very drinkable. The lack of head is a character I donít like, especially in a Belgian ale. Its not a bad beer just not a very good example of this style.

Bright yellow pour with white head. Had this on draft at breckenridge brewery in Denver. Sweet and tart flavor. Pretty good for a style I usually don't have

3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 ounce bottle. They got the most important part right: this beer tastes excellent. Itís dangerously drinkable, refreshing, and crisp. The bready, banana, and bitter hops are all delicious together and I could easily have a couple bottles of this in a single sitting. The aroma is funky yeast and pungently, stereotypically Belgian. The appearance is deceivingly tame: dark yellow, rarely-bubbled, and no-foam. Medium bodied and low carbonation mouthfeel. Overall, itís highly quaffable, even if it may not seem so at first glance and initial sniff.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Straw yellow with a slight haze, nice fluffy head and moderate lace. Bready malts, floral and grassy hops and doughy yeast on the nose. Nice balance on the palate of the bready malt and floral/grassy hops. Yeasty esters also evident. Light to medium body, highly effervescent, bubbly and sticky mouthfeel, and a crisp dry finish.
