(many thanks to beeryum for this brew)so i have been looking for this for a while and finally found some.i poured the hercules into a cognac snifter glass as recieved an "ice tea" like looking body with a nice tine white head.i gathered aromas of grapefruit, oranges, hay, lemons, and pne needles.the first thing i noticed was how nice and thick the mouthfeel was.giving up flavors of citurs, pine, and a nice malty backbone.this is a very fine i2pa and it was worht the wait.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: JAN 18, 2006 Fabulously balanced Double IPA. Coppery colors, and a nice hoppy grapefruitiness balances well with the malt bill. This is a great one Iíll be having again and again.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Dark golden to orange color, head mostly dissipates and it leaves a little lacing. Hops and grapefruits dominate the aroma and flavor, but has a lot of malt behind it and a nice balance. Reminds me a lot of Ruination IPA and I love them both.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: AUG 4, 2010 Dark copper color with a nice medium head. Good earthy hops aroma with some dark malt notes. Serious malt character with good bitterness and not sweet. Hops character is well supported by a deep malt profile and well-balanced alcohol. Along bitter finish follows the multi-layered malt and hops profiles.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
From the bottle. Deep amber color. Huge piney and citrusy hop aroma flating away from this beer. Extremely well balanced, with great malt backbone. Very hoppy and dry mouthfeel. A bit of alcohol warming in the finish.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: JAN 27, 2006 Citrusy aroma with huge hops and a mild sweetness. Tea colored with a fat white head. Nice malt profile running through this. Initial sip is sweet and bitter like not yet ripe bananna peel. Hops are not really over the top unless you really clamp the tongue to the roof of the mouth to expreience the bitterness. Very nicely done beer.

4.2 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Clear amber appearance, good head formation. Intense aromatic grapefruit hop aroma, mildly woody with some tropical pineapple notes. Plenty of malt in this one, initial caramel, slightly syrupy, woody, moving to a strong dry grapefruit bitterness at the end that returns in the aftertaste to wash out the malty sweetness.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle: Hopalicious! Pours orange with an off-white frothy head. Typical grapefruit rind aroma and taste. Thicker than expected, almost syruppy. It does a good job of covering the high alcohol % up when it is cold, but as it warms up, it becomes more noticeable. It has lots of carbonation and a prolonged bitter aftertaste. Truly a beer fit for the gods! Thanks Indiana_Red!

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle Poures a hazy orange amber with a huge fluffy head that was off white and lasted till the bottom of the glass. Strong aromas of hops, the citrusy kind, and sweet malts. Some fruity notes as well Flavors seemed very well ballanced. The hops were strong but in a blunt way. The swet maltiness was a nice compliment and the two tangod in my mouth untill I had to crash theur party with a roobust gulp. Nice full fairly heavy feel and an appropriate lingering bite. Very nice, but as far as the elite 2IPAs Iíll still go with the 3F
