Commercial Description:
Hoppier, maltier and with more alcohol than a standard IPA, Hercules Double IPA definitely is not for the faint of heart. Hercules Double IPA is, however, an elixir fit for the gods. A brash but creamy wonder, Hercules pours a deep orange-coppery color, forming substantial lace in the glass. Hercules Double IPA delivers a huge amount of piney, floral, and citrusy hop aroma and flavor from start to finish. A hefty backbone of nutty, toffee-like malt character balances Hercules' aggressive, punchy hop profile. 85 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Deep orange color with creamy white head. Aroma is like snorting a line of hops. The taste is also a lot of hops, but there’s a pleasant caramel malt background that enhances the drinkability. Slight alcohol burn in the finish.

Aroma and flavor very similar, piney hops with a lot of malt. Thick mouthfeel, big beer. Very enjoyable, alcohol completely hidden.

Poured from a 22oz bottle. The color was an amber color with a huge tan head. The aromas were naturally hops, but also malt and sweetness. The taste was a great balance with some pine, caramel, malt and hops.Really good one if you like the style, and I do.

On tap, amber color with white head. This is one extremely hoppy beer, a good IBU giving it plenty of bitterness. Well balanced with the malt.

Great nose, fine color, good bitterness, good balance, all sorts of piney floral aromas and flavors working together. Really good stuff!!

Amber color with a slight red hue and a creamy off white head that stays throughout the glass and leaves very nice lacing. Grapefruit and pineapple and a bit of lemon flow through my nose leaving me to wonder if anything could smell better. Taste is full of grapefruit, pine, pineapple, and a little bit of caramel in there. A slight alcohol presence. Less than average carbonation and medium bodied, paired quite well. An exceptional brew and very fairly priced to boot. I’ll be picking up more of this, try it if you can.

Bottle. Copper with a nice but unimpressive head. Lots of piney hops with a floral arrangement in there. I prefer more of a citrus aroma myself. Good bitterness with a cleansing mouthfeel. A great beer but I really expected to be impressed and I wasn’t.
