| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | May 25, 2008 Just about what you’d expect from Great Divide in the way of an IPA. 22 ozs. of hoppy goodness. A beautiful copper hue and a piny aroma are just the beginning of a true d2 IPA experience. Way far into the rotation. mcc5468 (103), USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 25, 2008 22 ox bottle. Aroma was strong and sweet pine. Taste is very hoppy which is on-par for a double ipa. Nicely done, it is not overwhelming. The alcohol is well hiden. Very nice rendition of the imperial/double ipa. moelikebeer (219), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 25, 2008 Bottle. Clear, dark amber pour. Aroma of both sweet malt and citrusy and floral hops. Really well balanced. Great hop flavor, but not overpowering. Excellent beer. beachbum25 (783), Powellville, Maryland, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 25, 2008 22 oz shared bottle-poured a clear copper color w/a moderate white head. Sweet, hoppy aroma. Pine hop flavor w/traces of citrus, orange, & a little caramel. Hops didn’t overpower this brew, had some balance to it. Even had a little bit of a bitter roasted malt finish. Pretty good stuff. Long, citrus finish. AgentSteve (1357), SF Bay Area, California, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 23, 2008 Bomber courtes of mreusch (thank, Matt!) Pours a nice deep clear copper color with a two finger, cream colored head that diminishes to considerable lacing. Nose is very sweet, with pineapple and floral hop aroma, with a atouch of caramel. The flavor is spot on, but not quite as strong as the nose. Very enjoyable, with caramel, yielding to a touch of bitterness, and finishing dry and clean. Very good beer. craftycarl21 (523), South Hero, Vermont, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | May 19, 2008 hazy copper pour with a rosy tint. really cool head, mixture of frothy and bubbly, with great lacing. aroma is not as powerful as some imp IPAs but certainly pleasant- hops, citrus, and some floral hints. Very intriguing malt notes in the flavor, unique for the ipa classification. Great hop finish, and the flavor is delicious overall. Palate is wondrous- smooth, full, and hides the 9% remarkably well. Fantastic beer. oteyj (724), Canterbury, New Hampshire, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | May 19, 2008 Pours hazy copper with biscuity beige head that lasts well. Aroma is not intense or complicated by any means, but is quite nice- hops dominate. Flavor knocked me back a bit- I wasn’t nearly expecting the malt content that presented itself. I’m a little miffed that this isn’t considered an American Strong due to this fact. Balance is incredible- palate is smooth and rich- can’t taste the alcohol. This is amazing.
