PhillyHomeBrew (176), Forest Hills, New York, USA May 3, 2008 Pours dark golden amber with a fluffy off white head. The aroma is extremely hoppy with grapefruit, orange, and lime notes. The flavor is very well balanced with a light malt flavor and a ton of grapefruit flavor with a tart lemon. jose pistolas $7 pint. pijiuduzi (8), Beijing, China does not count May 3, 2008 A man’s beer is what the hercules double IPA is. A deliciously hoppy treat indeed.

Nucci (21), cullowheee, North Carolina, USA May 3, 2008 Pours a golden brown color with a white head, sweet hoppy aroma, taste exactly how it smells. Taste great! Dangle (31), Cullowhee, North Carolina, USA May 3, 2008 Bronze color, but Golden under light. Nice size, white head. Lacing on the glass is jagged and lose. Aroma is strong, i can tell this because i am all stuffed up and i still got a good hoppy whiff. Tastes like an IPA on crack. it is strong and bitter but smooth and creammy. i likey. IvoR (30), New Jersey, USA May 1, 2008 Bottle. Pours amber with a thick white head. Looks a bit murky. Aroma is sweet of some fruits and a bit of honey or caramel. Tastes bitter sweet with citrus flavor that ends in nice hoppy finish. I actually enjoy the flavor, though it feels a bit strange to the palate. minch25 (350), Columbus, Ohio, USA Apr 28, 2008 Big flowery aroma, deep inviting copper colored liquid. Bitter coniferous flavor, alcohol, sticky feel, moderately sweet of caramel/toffee. Basically a big primordial American hop bomb, and while it’s good enough for what it’s going for, after a dozen others much like this, the novelty has kind of worn off. Lothore (276), California, USA Apr 26, 2008
A- Pours a reddish orange hue with a huge, thick, 2.5 finger head that seems to stay for quite a while leaving lacing galore.
S- Smells sweet, piney hops dominate followed by citrusy notes.
T- Thick earthy with hints of grapefruit and some pine. Bitter with the alcohol a bit to apparent.
M- Thick and clings a bit to the mouth. Very carbonated.
D- Not anywhere near the most drinkable dipa i’ve ever had. The alcohol is a bit too apparent and the bitterness is a bit intense in that it isnt balanced as well as i would have hoped. Aside from the criticism, I really enjoyed this brew. KimJohansen (6678), Copenhagen V, Denmark Apr 26, 2008 Clear deep golden with medium off white head. Sweet and hoppy aroma with caramel and grapfruit notes. Hoppy flavor with caramel and grapefruit notes. Lovely.
