4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
22oz bomber poured into a Duvel tulip glass. Pours a cloudy amber with lots of sediment in the second half of the bottle. Decent size head that leaves lots of layers of lacing. Aroma is citrus, and caramel. As I drink this, the caramel sweetness of the malt is the first thing that hits me followed by the slight piney bitterness from the hops which stays all the way through the end. Almost seems like you can switch back and forth between the malt and hops at will. No alcohol burn which is surprising considering it’s 10% abv.

Mycket karmaliserad sötma och maltighet i aromen. Fin kropp och bra fyllighet.

Flaska på bishops - väldigt maltig doft. Djupt bärnstensfärgad med vitt skum. Mycket sötma från malten och en trevlig beska. Silkeslen känsla i munnen.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at home. Red/amber colour, slim white foamy head. Tropical fruity hops, quite strong on bitterness and sweet malts, alcohol is (too) big too. Light bodied, medium carbonation, oily mouthfeel. Bit of a let down.

4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Hoppier, maltier and with more alcohol than a standard IPA, Hercules Double IPA definitely is not for the faint of heart. Hercules Double IPA is, however, an elixir fit for the gods. A brash but creamy wonder, Hercules pours a deep orange-coppery color, forming substantial lace in the glass. Hercules Double IPA delivers a huge amount of piney, floral, and citrusy hop aroma and flavor from start to finish. A hefty backbone of nutty, toffee-like malt character balances Hercules’ aggressive, punchy hop profile. 85 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This beer was given a lot of love but it just not for me. The abv is strongest in the smell. I get sweetness, barley, hops, bitterness. I don’t get much citrus at all and the bitterness lingers long after you finish the sip. The body is heavy with dry medium carbonation.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
33 cl bottle 10% abv. honey golden amber colour. discrete aroma. This is a heavy ipa. Sweet and barley wine’ish. funny notes of bacon? or burned something. A bit disappointing consider its heavy abv.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a reddish-copper body with a hearty white head. Nose has strong floral and herbaceous notes. There’s also a distinct resinous pine aroma that radiates from the glass. Hoppy punch in the mouth with some oak characteristics present. You know the alcohol is there, but it doesn’t come across overtly. Dry bittersweet finish. Great double IPA.

Big, amber, bloody metallic bitterness and ridiculously heavy malt body. Too much for me, personally.
