Hoppier, maltier and with more alcohol than a standard IPA, Hercules Double IPA definitely is not for the faint of heart. Hercules Double IPA is, however, an elixir fit for the gods. A brash but creamy wonder, Hercules pours a deep orange-coppery color, forming substantial lace in the glass. Hercules Double IPA delivers a huge amount of piney, floral, and citrusy hop aroma and flavor from start to finish. A hefty backbone of nutty, toffee-like malt character balances Hercules’ aggressive, punchy hop profile. 85 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

I remember this beer being heavy and not at all like other IPA’s I’ve had. A deep flavor not afraid of the dark or deep rich stout beers this one will kick your ass.

Tap at Yard House. Medium amber, slight haze. Nice head. Fairly intense citrus and other fruit, floral aroma. Light toasty malts, nice balance, hop heaven. Nice strong bitter finish, not overwhelming. Refreshing. Delicious.

I didn't take any extra notes when I tried this beer for the first time but I'm gonna try it again and update my comments. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, Drinks of the World, Geneva. Hazy orange, medium white head. Aroma ripe pineapple, passion fruit, malt. Sticky texture, intensely sweet taste, which gradually gives way to a long bitter finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle as a birthday gift from Pix. Cheers! Pours amber with a nice big frothy cream head. Nice hoppy aroma with pineapple especially. The taste is big as bitter with stacks resinous pine, caramel and toffee. A little aniseed too. Delicious.

Man it’s been a historic day in the history of beer. This one is a notch below the other two we’ve sampled, but it’s awfully good on its own merits. The only knock is the extraordinarily bitter finish.

A bit spicy, some piney. Mouth has plenty of bitter and some odd sweet. This bottle must have been a tad too old. Regardless, I would drink again, but not seek out.
