Hoppier, maltier and with more alcohol than a standard IPA, Hercules Double IPA definitely is not for the faint of heart. Hercules Double IPA is, however, an elixir fit for the gods. A brash but creamy wonder, Hercules pours a deep orange-coppery color, forming substantial lace in the glass. Hercules Double IPA delivers a huge amount of piney, floral, and citrusy hop aroma and flavor from start to finish. A hefty backbone of nutty, toffee-like malt character balances Hercules’ aggressive, punchy hop profile. 85 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Carmel, sweet, hoppy aftertaste. Very good. Not too bitter despite the IBU. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at home while visiting Florida. Pours Amber with an off white head. Caramel trop fruit aroma. Medium to full body, medium carbonation. Pine, caramel, boozy heat, grapefruit, lemon... Too sticky sweet and a bit too boozy for me. A little harsh. It's OK. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A really heavy and hoppy IPA. Well made and with a strong bitterness. I’m all for it

On tap at the brewery. Burnt orange and pretty clear appearance with a lingering white head. Resinous, piney, citrus zest, tropical fruits and lightly boozy. The first whiff and sip were the most pleasant. Hard to believe I never rated this one.

UPDATED: FEB 15, 2015 This 12 oz bottle is less than a month old, pours a dark copper, clear if poured off the yeast floaties. Nose is nicely hoppy, refined, orange fruit, grassy pine, bready, toast, sweetness, light buttery caramel/toffee floral. Its a bit overly yeasty in aroma at times. Has a burning hop or alcohol sting so you know its going to be big. Taste is a solid double ipa, has a good hop bite of a grapefruit maybe pine. Slick malts, caramel, buttery toffee toasty ,some astringent or acididty like a roast. Bitter sweet, pretty solid, although Im not a fan of this size double ipa mostly, I do think its one of the better ones or above average for one. Not sure how I fell overall about its flavor profile or hop choices. Maybe too malty just because its a 10%

Aroma is honey like sweetness, a mixture of piney and citrus hops and fresh grass. Very nice smell. Pours out a beautiful bright golden color with a stark white lingering head and tiny bubbles rising to the top. Taste shows a good strong malt backbone with hop bitterness showing through in the middle and end of each sip. Palate is good for the style, slick and oily. This is a very well made DIPA. Strong and drinkable at the same time. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330ml bottle at home. Clear amber color with off white - light beige head. Aroma is heavy hoppy, pine, spruce - juniper, light fruity, light caramel malty. Sweet and bitter taste like the aroma, little more fruity. Medium oily body with sot carbonation.

The most impressive thing is the minimal alcohol taste considering the 10% abv.Smooth and easy to drink double ipa.

Mycket karmaliserad sötma och maltighet i aromen. Fin kropp och bra fyllighet.
