4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
22 oz. bottle. Poured a rich copper color; cascading with a medium tan head. Smelled of wonderful rich hops, pine and grapefruit. The flavor was strong citrus and hops initially, with a sweet rich malt backbone and then some hops again on the finish. Wonderfully complex on the palate, this beer is almost refreshing even with the high alcohol content. Not quite as good as their Yeti Stout, but Great Divide has certainly made another one up at the top of its category.

Poured from the tap at the Biergarten in Charleston, SC into a pint glass.
Aroma- A big hop and citrus aroma, very nice
Appearance- A mildly murky copper colored beer with a thick small white head
Taste- A nice malt and hop mix that hides the high ABV well.
Palate- A medium to heavy bodied beer with moderate carbonation.
Overall- A great DIPA, highly recommended.

2.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
Aroma is nice: orange, lemon, grapefruit, grasses.
Appearance: dark yellow orange. Above avg. White head.
Taste: lots of pine. Offensive. Grass, hops. Fruit in the aroma is blocked by the overly strong grassy/woody character.
An unfortunate product of the IPA craze.

Bottle on 4/2/15. Pours a hazy dark orange with a thin off white head. Nose is citrus, bread, fruit. Taste is the same. Citrus, alcohol toward the end and some alcohol burn and hop bitterness to close. Dry and crisp. Nice

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
BOTTLE 355 ML from Bov. Bottled 24-SEP-2014. Red-amber slightly hazy with tan smallish head. It is hoppy enough after the pour, with notes of sweet citrus and mango, menthol candy, but after a couple of minutes the malts totally dominate - lots of caramel and marmalade. The taste is malty right from the start, overly sweet fruit with a touch of alcohol and a somewhat harsh moderate bitterness. Not bad, anyway.
